Apparently, in the Japanese Xbox magazine "Famitsu" Bethesda was busting about their FO3 sales (100,000 copies) and announced two things:

So are the total sales figures out for Fallout 3? I'd be interested to know if they made a profit or not.

If this rumor is true, then they will sell Fallout for sure. :D :D :D :D

As for my prediction of what they would pick (if they can get it) is something with a massive audience. So Lord of the Rings, a vampire game, as vampire books are selling extremely well at the moment, D&D, or possibly Ultima.

Hmm, you know, it could even be Lands of Lore. If so, I will rejoice! Even if its by Bethesda. The original was simplistic in dialogue anyway (beths weak point...one of beths weak pts I mean) though it had a very charming and engasgin storyline.

One of the first games I'd ever played in my youth was the second game in the series - Guardian's of Destiny. I am a major fan of the storyline, although I consider the third game the worst in the FP-ActionRPG games in-general. Ironically enough, I was playing Guardian's of Destiny just last night and managed to acquire both legendary blades (Thohan's sword and Firestorm) and reached the Wild Ones before saving. Truly nostalgic.

If your guess proves true, though, I want you to know that I will personally defecate on Todd Howard's automobile. That goes double for Arcanum, VtM, Planescape, BG, and NWN. Should Bethesda ever tarnish any of those intellectual properties, they can expect my feces smeared on their windshields with a copy of their game, attached with a typed out letter to Howard and co. that reads kindly, "Jesus Christ Approved."

YES!!! Somebody else actually played Guardians of Destiny? That is my favorite game of all time! Severely underrated game, IMO.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it isn't a total number of sales, it's an amount of copies sold in Japan - a huge success for a western game.
