Any other games in the style of Summertime Saga? Don't really care about pure VN stuff or games with solely sexual content on the level of Skyrim mods. Preferably something with a similar visual design and without railroaded fetish content.

Legend of Queen Opala maybe? Haven't played it much and it was like 8 years ago, but it has gameplay and handpainted graphics next to the RPG maker stuff.

I'm getting into Being a DIK after watching NeverKnowsBest's latest video. It's pretty good actually. Cool music, good humor and pacing. The sex scenes have decent build-up and I find myself skipping dialogue less and less.

I'd prefer something more down to earth and slice of life-y. Alas, seems that it's mostly a pure VN sort of thing (and on that note, I've also quite liked Everlasting Summer; prefer Summertime Saga's style of drawn characters tho).

Hóngwèibīng I'd recommend Space Rescue: Code Pink: very, very cozy and quite similiar. There's also Insexual Awakening which is similiar in terms of family stuff. Tried Camp Pinewood which is also somewhat close a few years ago but didn't quite like it. I could also recommend Four Elements which is more on VN side but really good and not too far as well.

have you tried "what a legend"? comes closest to summertime saga for me and the art is far superior.

Also played A Town Uncovered, another game still in development. Quite derivative of Summertime Saga. Narrative has a little more depth, but nothing to brag about. As for the visual direction, it's sleek yet very simplistic. Gameplay mechanics also feel clunkier than Summertime Saga.

And with that, guess I'm done with this genre since I couldn't find anything else worth checking out. It's either weird shit, ugly shit and/or weeb shit.

Anybody else finding sengoku rance to be the only aliceoft game they really enjoyed?
Haven't tried x yet,but everything else has the weird combination of grind/not too much complexity to annoy me.
Or you get the island game/Big bang age combination of needing a walk trough to get the things you want.
By complexity i mean when you compare alicesoft non strategy games to someone like eushully,it looks very simple.
Story wise,they are generations above everybody else.

Let me try to broaden recommendation list before that then:

- Being a DIK. Yeah, even if it's king of DAZ 3d based games, it's still fucking DAZ, resulting in full uncanny valley effect for some despite all the devs effort. But. Judging by your initial game-landmark you wouldn't mind some silly college humor/cheap drama and the author is pretty good at it. Personally I was mostly just laugh at some shit happening there, then much later (after 5 ep.) got actually hooked and waiting the new episode with anticipation.

- Something Unlimited. If you haven't check Four Elements, you might try this instead: "trainer" parody game based on comics, I had a good laugh with this one, too despite haven't been watching show/let alone original comics.

- Naked Ambition. I haven't played it myself yet but pretty sure it's good porn-clone of princess maker if you or anyone else interested.

- Sanguine Rose. Probably the best adult VN I've played. Neat and short, storyfag oriented.

- The Sword Of Succubus. Small, well-crafted action-oriented game as an example of something different.

- Queen's Brothel. As a porn game meh but it's just so much fun, the dialogues are great.

- Warlock and Boobs. A member of a huge RPGmaker porn game crowd which 99%+ are shit. This one is quite fun although begins to move out of "vanilla" borders, some content could be turned off in options beforehand. And the game is grindy, one should definitely cheat there but imo it's worth it.

- Behind the Dune. Questionable artwork but it's well made game overall, I tried it a few years ago or so.

- Innocent Witches. Hard to recommend such a game since it's the embodiment of everything what's wrong with patreon-model development. It's been 5 years and the game still have barely any actual porn content while gameplay plainly sucks and the writing is questionable at best. But the artwork is amazing, you cannot take it away from IW. HP universe theme is p. cool.

Big Bang Age (Daibanchou) is pretty good in the same line as Sengoku Rance. Not of the same level, but pretty good.

These two games can be classified as optimizing-your-move-in-limited-time-frame. Can be played in other ways, of course, but the best way is that.

As Crispy would put it if he were to play this game, this was pretty good. Hermione waifu, best waifu (either her or Ginny). That being said, the pattern with this kind of game being in perpetual development is depressing. Also, in this particular case, game was way too grindy. And some of the animated scenes should've had more fast forward and/or skip buttons. Gets boring when you have to go through the same scene twice or thrice in order to 'advance' it, especially when it comes to the story arcs of those characters that you aren't interested in.

Might try Queen's Brothel too, but the whole voyeur angle is quite unappealing.

You should know then it's usually 1-2 scenes per 0.1 update or so. Therefore, knowing their development style - not really. In terms of other stuff - probably another few silly mini-games are expected. Regarding their writing fixes/rehashes I'm curious myself because they started it around 0.4-0.5 time when I was playing, too and judging my Hóngwèibīng feedback apparently it worked out well. They also hired animation guy around that time so I guess all the new scenes should be animated, maybe even some non-*adult* ones, too here and there.

yeah it's great, the pixel art is really well made for a porn game. scarlet is easily best girl. personally i only play porn games with hand drawn 2D art or pixel art, i have no idea how people can enjoy those daz3d gobbo VNs.
