Tits and ass sells and the whole modern narrative about fat chicks and trannies is a waste of fucking time. Noone is going to get groomed into it and most (not including mobile) gamers are males who want sexy characters in games.

Hopefully it results in less of the propaganda shit. Girls and fags can still have their BG3 or whatever, but bring back games for red blooded straight guys. It's not rocket science.

As phone games become more than tile match style puzzle games, they’re probably becoming more male too. If something like Goddess of Victory: Nike Nikke was being played primarily by women though, that would be even more reason to switch things back, because it’d mean both men and women want hot sexy female characters in games and there’d be no ideological point to stand on.

Fair enough but I'm not sure I was coming from an idealogical standpoint, it was cold hard cynical cash money I was thinking. But sure, women were fine with characters like Lara Croft and she was attractive. Just seems to me that mainlining minorities for the sake of 'inclusively' actually drives away a lot of people. This game might be quite heavy the other way, but in general I think it's fair to have handsome heroes whether they be male or female.

It passed Cyberpunk and RE4 as the highest rated PS5 game by users. Currently sitting at 9.3. It's a bittersweet victory. Sony censoring the fuck out of it dampened things a bit. Either way it's a good thing for all non-faggot gamers that it's breaking a few records.

What's funny is that even isn't how this sub forum works.

Plenty of western rpgs in here that happen to use anime aesthetic like the Fear and Hunger games, Crosscode, or Tyranicon's work.

Or how there are Asian rpgs in General Gaming (like Palworld, which is an action rpg, or at least has a LOT of rpg elements in it).

The JRPG sub forum wasn’t really a forum specifically for JRPGs. It was basically where all Japanese, or Asian, or Japanese influenced games that somehow leaned more Japanese went.

That’s changed over the years as so much of what comes out from western developers is shit. But there was a time when if you came to RPG Codex, and some Japanese game was in General Gaming section, the thread would be full of endless bitching about it. Of course if the Codex still functioned that way they’re basically be Jack fucking shit to talk about in General Gaming that was worth talking about.

Shit would get buried there see when Infinitron liquidated Space, Strategy, and Simulation and moved flight, space, and racing sims to general gaming for example. Well I'm done for now, it's almost nap time. So far I love it. I suck at it but I've been having alot of fun. Combat feels satisfying and challenging, Eve is always nice to look at, and I dig the world. The environments are pretty small but well designed. Lots of hidden treasures to find.

This is gonna sound like a retarded complaint but I think there's a bit too many upgrade paths. You have a ton of skill trees which is fine, but then you have unlockable item slots, weapon upgrades, health potion upgrades, the beta upgrades, drone upgrades, costume crafting, max hp/beta upgrades, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. It goes way overboard for what is essentially just a hack 'n slash action game. Not a big deal, it just feels like alot of busy work.

Overall it seems great. Nothing mind blowing like Dragon's Dogma 2 but it delivers on what it was supposed to.

I like the game so far. Fun combat, good enemy variety, nice chill music, no wasting of players time, fun boss fights, decent difficulty. Nothing ground breaking by any means, but basically an action game done right. Imagine Sekiro and Nier: Automata having a baby, this would be it. If you liked one of them, you will probably like this, but if you hated Sekiro or Automata, better to stay away.

Eh, I didn't much care for Automata at all. It had some nice looking combat but the game was piss easy and extremely dull. This game has a lot more charm and offers a good challenge.
