I wonder if it had a second protagonist that wasn't female (or the protagonist was just hard gay) people would have been loosing their shit?
Senran Kagura was censored by Soyny and every girl there was hard gay.

Theres tons more.

Blue Reflection 1 and 2, Death end re;Quest 2, Atelier Ryza trilogy, Mary Skelter 2, various Neptunia games, Samurai Maiden, etc. Not all are pure yuri games but they all have yuri bait/elements.

Kids should watch more real porn instead of watching hentai.

Too much tattoos. And lacks wholesomeness.
No tattoos in JAV.
Tattoos are taboo in general in Japan, iirc. Only criminals tend to wear them.
There's probably some fetish for a tatooed sukeban type though.
this image is slowly fading away though. younger people have tattoos and don't give a damn. a whole lot of jav girls have them too, but they just apply makeup on them or choose certain recording angles to make them not appear in the video. in south korea the tattoo taboo is alive and well. i dated a korean girl who had one and her south korean family ostracized her bc "tattoos are for prostitutes".

Funny comment about the game from a ResetEra users.

She is cute. She does have nice skin (I guess). She's also dressed stupidly, which isn't helped by the often invasive camera angles.

What makes it funny is the user’s avatar.

That’s the character Tachy from Stellar Blade. Even if it wasn’t from Stellar Blade having that avatar while complaining about costumes in Stellar Blade would be funny. But that they seemingly like a costume from Stellar Blade so much they made it their avatar makes it even better.

Western Man in 2024

Guy's starting a petition over cleavage and vaginal region visibility on a CG'd Korean anime bitch.

I don't know about you, but as a consumer I would want the product that was massively advertised as NON-CENSORED to actually be NOT CENSORED when I paid money for it.

It's their game, they can make the changes they want. Don't like it? Don't buy it. If you have already bought it, get a refund. The revenue loss actually hurts Sony. Saying “fuck Sony”, and then begging them to make the necessary changes so that you can give them MONEY makes the person doing that look weak and unprincipled.

Wanting the thing you’re getting to not be censored has been the standard modus operandi of western man for a pretty long time. This thing where people think censorship is a good thing is fairly new.

The censorship is also totally bizarre anyways. There’s Skims commercials that play on regular ol’ network television throughout the day where the panty line is the same as the uncensored Holiday Rabbit costume. And those commercials have actually humans in them, here they’re getting zero hour modest over a digital cartoon character.

How's that no censorship standard working out for western man, though? A big part of the why the west is presently getting fucked is because stuff that should be banned is out in the open and free to corrupt.
I've never believed in the principle of no censorship whatsoever, so we'll have to disagree there.

From what I have read, the blood splatter in this game was also censored or at the very least toned down significantly. That to me seems like a far bigger issue (loss of visual feedback during combat) in a game of this type. Yet the complaints are almost exclusively about the loss of cleavage and vaginal region visibility on Eve's character model.

Most of the outrage from the so-called anti-woke is performative. It always is and I'm sure Sony knows this. Look at all the “outrage“ over Starfield and its pronoun options, to say nothing of all the diversity and LGBT stuff in that game. Despite all that, the Starfield thread here has at least 5k posts and spans 211 pages. 211 pages for a “woke” RPG on a forum for “Nazi” gamers!

As I said before, if people genuinely wanted to hurt Sony and the dev studio for this apparent betrayal, the best thing to do would be to not purchase the game. But it never happens with the kind of numbers that would hurt a platform holder or development studio. Stellar Blade presently has a 9.1 user rating on metacritic. Says it all.

Putting aside the most important metrics (forum posts), weren't Starfield sales down compared to Fallout 4?

Modern games can be updated via online patches. You're buying a version of the game that isn't final.

Re: Starfield. Not down enough to hurt the development studio or the publisher. It almost never gets to that stage. People whine about woke games, but those games rarely fail. The Saint's Row reboot is only recent one that comes to mind. Miles Morales, Spiderman 2, Starfield, TLOU 1 & 2, the recent Horizon game are all filled with diversity and LGBT stuff. None of those games have failed, though.

Starfield depicts a beige coloured, largely non-white, LGBT-filled future yet it did not fail. Stellar Blade won't flop despite the outrage over the censored content. It really looks as if the dev studio knew there was going to be some level of censorship when it put that tweet out – you can't come up with a day one patch in a few days – but most people won't care. Hyung-tae Kim will still be “based” to many. The people signing that petition are still prepared to give Sony $70, if they haven't already.

even then, when you buy a game you are agreeing that you don't own the game itself but the permission to use it. this goes beyond them being physical or digital and applied to books and music, if you read the legalities you are basically forbidden from doing anything that's not reading it or listening to it in the privacy of your own home. everything else could be seen as criminal activity.
