Why even bother announcing a date that far off?
Also looks like Star Citizen but worse. Mods elevate my interest in it slightly but I'm not too excited for a space game featuring Bethesda jank.

Dunno, maybe because Skyrim was released on 11-11-11, and Starfield will release on the 11th anniversary of Skyrim?

Come to think of it, in a few months it will be the tenth anniversary of Skyrim. Will Todd grace us with the 10th anniversary edition of Skyrim this November?

You haven't seen any gameplay yet, you don't even know what "type" of game it is. Also I doubt it "looks like Star Citizen", since presumably it's an actual game people will be able to play with things like gameplay and a release date and not some retarded ponzi scheme for buying .jpg's.

lmao how does it "look like Star Citizen" ?
Grounded sci-fi aesthetic, the ship designs and the HUD leaks we've seen indicates that it's gonna be pretty similar to Star Citizen.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
This trailer is neither shit nor good. It just is.

It barely shows anything other than the fact that it's in space, and spaceship design is somewhat realistic/close to current year designs rather than hyper-futuristic alien stuff.

Speaking of which, are there even aliens?
Is there space combat?
What kinds of planets will you get to explore?
What's the gameplay like?
How is space flying?
How is space combat?
What kind of personal equipment (weapons, clothing, armor/spacesuits) is there?
What's the story?

We don't know any of that from this trailer.
It has zero practical information about the game.

It's not releasing for 17 months. I guess we shouldn't have expected any more than that.

I have a feeling there will be aliens but in this game as first contact, first war and alliances with aliens. Second game shall be deeper in the future where different civilizations are interacting on daily basis.

Hi guys, Rodd here.

I think this game looks absolutely amazing! I can hardly wait to play it. :D

Only virgins and losers don't think it will be the greatest game ever made.

It is meaningless,it exist so people don't forget that the game exists. It doesn't even have fancy fake sparkle graphics like call of duty or watch dog.

Skyrim was released on 11 11 2011. This one release on 11 11 2022. This luxury of picking such symmetric and symbolic release dates means the game is done at this point, finished. At most they do bug fixing. The bare minimum that is. The rest will be fixed by modders. Anyway, this will kill Obsidian's TOW 2. This is basically The Outer Worlds, but with mods. Bethesda won by default. Apparently they're really tough to take out. CP2077 failed, TOW 1 failed, yeah it's over.

All the other open world games fail compared to Bethesda because they're not even half as moddable.

Morrowind still has massive mod projects ongoing.

Skyrim is still insanely popular, partially due to its wealth of mods.

And even Oblivion still has a handful of active mod projects.

A game without extensive modding support will NEVER outlast a game with great modding support, no matter the quality.
