This. I had my ups and downs with it, but overall I concede that it gave we what I wanted from CoP.DraQ, I think you need to play more Misery.
If you can into modding and are able to tweak it a bit, it might just be heavan.
I now even forgive it crashing every few loads.
EDIT: Another scripting gem. Here I am at the Yanov, minding my business, when suddenly I hear buckshot popping right next to me. Turns out, a pack of zombies just rolled into the station. None of the guys inside react.
QFT. I remember healing was a real pita until I got the first kolobok. Without it, I had to go to the medic after every short excursion. I even postponed the missing stalkers quest for that very reason.I even had a dilemma in my game where Garry wanted my Kolobok (a very important artifact in the short/mid-game) but I hadnt found a better healing artifact (nor another Kolobok) up til that point.
Thankfully, Bear is enough to find it and it's a guaranteed spawn in the tree nest.
It seems it's important to stroll around Zaton with your thing out (Veles, I mean), as my second Kolobok just rolled out of the grass near one of the main roads near the scar anomaly. I think it also happened in vanilla CoP.
Regarding the spawns, I always had the impression that you need to wait a few emissions so that the anomaly gets filled with low tier artifacts, until you get the good stuff and emissions only refill anomalies on the map you are on.
I may be wrong though though.
