Spoony's actually starting to grow on me. Especially in his Pnp RPG vids. The actual play d&d sessions he DMs on LordKat's site are pretty fun to watch, particularly when Angry Joe is playing with them.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Codex USB, 2014 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath
Watched some sessions and I think Joe is a natural RPG player or at least DnD one plus he had the most interesting character. The best RPG player in the group. The rest were bland (except Victor).

Yeah I don't really believe that a drunk guy could stand still on one spot for twelve hours, and then stay drunk without drinking anything during that time.

Angry Joe posted here briefly, I think he left because people gave him a load of shit over the video he was promoting.

Apparently you liked his 3 posts a lot. Was it confirmed that was him? He said he'd talk about the codex

the thread was funny, delicious tragedy...

Angry Joe has to work for the money! He's a guy that frequently asks devs questions about what they've done to make the game more consumer friendly and accessible, like that's what gaming journalists need to enforce! He's also remarkably ignorant on so many games, yet really likes to style himself as hardcore. Still, he sometimes praises niche games, like how he went crazy over Sacred 2, in a derp fashion of course. I think he just doesn't really respect his audience.

It was not the real Angry Joe ffs, it was a goddamn advertising plant. You'd think the custom tag/avatar DU gave him would be enough.

Anyway, the plant said he;d prove he was threal shit by mentioning the codex on his next ep. Guess what happened.

bros we totally should do a PnP Codex Session and stream it

Nothing on Earth will ever be better than this:

[11] <@Nicolai> when we played our D&D game it fell apart at an encounter with a young dragon
[11] <@Nicolai> something about acg wanting to kill it by sticking a sword up his ass
[11] <@Nicolai> jasede was all up in tears about it
[11] <@Nicolai> and then surgey called it quits because he was fed up with our bullshit
[11] <@Nicolai> he was used to a more traditional playing style, not our improv

:salute:

root: like I stated in that other PnP Thread, I'm all up for it - but no one else was at that time :(
Maybe one glorious day!

aren't we all goddamn rpg players here ffs

we should choose a game that has potential for maximum lulz tho, so either paranoia or something COMPLETELY SERIOUS

mebbe the tranny toreador terrorists from texas

Playing crpgs does nothing to prepare you for pnp rpgs, unless you are simply dungeon crawling.

If you guys did a an actual play session that would be awesome. It'd be cool to see something like a ad&d1 or 2 since there doen't seem to be anyone doing old rulesets (that I know of anyway). Although something derpy like 4e could be comedy gold.

is the system the same as dark heresy's?

Depends on the edition. IIRC FFG took WFRP over in the second edition and transformed it into the same system Dark Heresy et al would later use, but the first edition, while mostly being the basis for FFG's Warhammer stuff, still has a couple of differences. Toughness and strength, for instance, are not two digit stats, but one digit, and work the same as TB/SB in DH. WP is devided into self-control and willpower, Fel into leadership and charisma, etc.

Also, from what I've heard, first edition is best edition and all others that followed were kind of shit. But I played only the first one so I dunnae :M

Warhammer Fantasy and Dark Heresy must be the two most badly balanced and thought-out systems I've ever had to displeasure of playing. They're only good for one-session joke games with names like "The Search For The Biggest Shit." Fucking Palladium games are better made than those two.

Anyway, I second Pathfinder.
