Are there any other similar reviewers (that don't suck) out there that could be used as a measuring stick for Spoony's lazyness/productivity?

Well there's Brad Jones (The Cinema Snob), an (ex-) colleague of Spoony's from TGWTG, who "reviews" low-budget/exploitation/horror movies and porn. He's not the best web reviewer in the world, but doesn't outright suck IMO like most of the other low-lifes on that site. He puts out one scripted and edited video per week of his main show, then he and his friends go to the movies sometimes twice a week and record unscripted VLOGs, that's maybe 3-6 videos per week, then add the odd food-review/tv-series-rant/podcast/whathaveyou for 1-2 videos per week, and of top of that they have an original web series ATM that gets updated maybe once a month. So while most of his content is VLOG filler where he shoots the shit with his friends about movies they saw, there's nothing stopping Spoony from doing something similar.

Except maybe the 'friends' part...

Oh.
Linkara's got a similar schedule (reviews comics) and from what I understand he's doing something more for Halloween this year, and he's gone on record saying that he'd be happy to join in if he was asked.

Isn't that cinema snob fellow a friend of Spoony? I haven't seen his reviews but I've seen him in some videos and judging by his demeanor alone, he seems like he doesn't fit in with the TGWTG crowd (in other words: isn't a typical TGWTG low-life)
To be fair to Spoony (and other game reviewers), game reviews do take more time than movie reviews. Scripting might take an equal amount of time, but you can watch about 40 movies in the time it takes to get through a Final Fantasy or an Ultima game, if not more. I don't get why he doesn't just use longplay footage from youtube and film footage on his own if he needs to demonstrate a bug, exaggerate some gameplay flaw for humorous effect or something like that. Unless he's playing a game so rare that no one's uploaded any videos about it online.
Though usually these internet game reviewers stick to games that aren't very long, so getting footage doesn't necessarily take that much time. Besides The Real Silent Hill Experience, Spoony is the only (angry reviewer) that I've seen who meticulously analyzes and nitpicks the plots of bad games.

Brad's been there on a review of IIRC Breaking Dawn part 1, and he was there in person alongside Spoony when he riffed on that god-awful Justin Bieber game. Also, Brad Jones is confirmed bro tier.

Haha, it seems Spoony's patreon reached the 5000 dollar per month goal, which means he will do start working on a movie.
Considering how long it took James Rolfe, an organized fellow who's been making movies since he was a kid, who had 300k to play with, and who had a script ready to go (as much as scripts can be 'ready') beforehand... yeah, good luck with that.

His VtM rant was really good. Also I love his advice for GMing. As a Game Master myself, I find it really helpfull, especially the bit about making your players do what you want.

I just wish he'd do more stuff. As of late he seems to concentrate on shitty wrestling. :decline:

$5K a month is a lot.
Quality is there, IMO (no other 'internet celebrity' entertains me as well as Spoony does), but quantity needs a lot of work. I think releasing at least one video per month should be his goal - and I am only counting 'full' reviews. VLOGs and other bonus stuff is nice when it appears, but it is the reviews that most people come for.

And yeah, he should drop Twitter. Completely. I do not think he realises how much time he wastes on it. I tried following him multiple times and each time unfollowed after a day, due to tweet spam.

Do not really care about the movie, but if it gets made, I hope it really is something different than his website stuff.

And yeah, Brad Jones is retty cool. He is the only TGWTG I still follow (well, he and Spoony). Linkara does what he does well too (mostly due to good scripts - he is awful unscripted), but I have only watched him for a while, because I do not like most American comic books, especially big DC/Marvel franchises.

I will never understand what kind of a person willingly donates 100 dollars to a FREE INTERNET REVIEW SHOW. What the fuck.
People can spend their money as they want. Sad, but nothing else to do except getting over it.

If he couldn't deliver even the easiest promise he made, how is he going to make a movie, get all patreon stuff done and keep up regular updates when he currently struggles with is busy schedule of 3-4 Vlogs+1 review per 2/4 Q ?
Even his super devoted fanbase must loose faith at some point, though I guess business will start to pick up once he looses enough patreon supporters that he'll actually need to start working for a living again. The irony is so rich with these TGWTG guys. They are professional reviewers yet they huddle themselves in their own little hugboxes and circle jerks so that other people can't call them out on their lazyness and incompetence (not to mention the bad writing and cringe worthy acting), which is 100 times worse than anything seen in the bad movies and games they bash for a living. It's no wonder than most of them are SJWs, Spoony included. Once again Cleve is right, it's easy to criticize other people from the safety of your mothers basement when you've never had to deal with the realities of work life and how demanding the reality of game/movie making can be. Kind of like what I'm doing at the moment +M

Jesus, the was painful to watch. He looks like he's on the verge of some kind of major breakdown.

It wouldn't be his first one. Dude was on major antidepressants for some time.

Shit... well, there goes Spoony I guess. Maybe he'll get a hold of himself yet. A man can dream.

Dude's got Bipolar II, which he calls "the sequel to Bipolar". He's got his good days and he's got his bad days.

Watching a guy flip through pages in a book, so exciting. He should quit making vlogs all together, they're boring and he rambles on and on.

I rather enjoyed these videos and showcased that the guy's got some great comedic talent in him.

Oh, and for those of you interested in the breeding table...

Most of the stuff he brings up in manuals i already know, he should focus on his PnP anecdotes, those are the best.

Note how at the very bottom it mentions Felids as a seperate thing. In the book they are a template you can add to your character to turn them into a furry/catgirl get yourself some bonuses.

But do consider that they can be added to any race, making a catgirl centaur or a catgirl half-orc perfectly viable.

Talking about Legend of the Five Rings, and on how he once got into a duel with a Crane.

For those of you who don't play LotFR, the Cranes have as shtick that they duel.
