So, World of Tanks, I play it, here's some criticism.

After the nerf from last patch? I would say not really. I could live with the gold penetration reduced from 150 to 100, you probably can still penetrate most of the tanks you encounter but the price of gold rounds for credits going 2800->4000 is what killed this tank for me.

I just rage purchased gold rounds for my T-150. The stock grind is intensely painful, the 122mm derp is the best it can muster for some further 20k xp. 4,800 credits a shell but nevermind that. They could at least let me have a good 85mm like the D5T or the 100mm D10T.

King of rage is the KV-1ShotU

I think I'm gonna try the non-gold M4 derp gun for a few matches and see how it goes. I've a pretty good feel for where the weakspots are

8.7 is out. SPGs for the limeys! Also, the T-50-2 is removed from the game and replaced with the MT-25.
Also a couple of new premium tanks, a new map and some minor changes. Most interest of which is that destructable environments slow down tanks more when they ram into them now.

http://worldoftanks.eu/en/content/guide/release-notes/release-notes-87/

Oh God...

So the Germans get a new Tier 7 Tank Destroyer. I was looking it over. Its gun only has 150/135 penetration/damage compared to the 200/320 of a fully upgraded JagdPanther. But it has a RoF of 20 over the JgPanthers 7.32. And pretty good stealth, plus it can't end in Tier 9 battles. So it might have a decent damage output. It also moves and turns like a frigging light tank and has the camo value of a StuG III. Armor and HP is nonexistent of course. Nonetheless, it looked fun until....

i played the public test 1 so i have no idea if they nerfed it, But it was zippy as fuck then and more often than not i could pump shells into flanks and arses, and it had excellent camo so i could fight on my terms. It was like a hetzer on steroids and that was one of my more successful vehicles.

7200 gold though is a piss take for a tier 7.

The pricing is pretty ridiculous in general, plenty of games on steam are priced lower than a single premium tank for WoT. But I guess that is the insanity of F2P gaming.

It ain't F2P, it's P2W. :(

My clan commander has openly admitted to spending $14,000 KWA DOLLARS on WoT.

It's sad to say, but WG has found a model that let's the 1% subsidize everyone else and remain very profitable in the process.

The time-honored 'level playing field' goes right out the window of course.

Siemka Team too heavy to carry. :(
It's a fucking tragedy when the low-armor, low-camo TD has to spot because all the heavies are camping in base.

I nearly bought the E-25 after seeing it ingame. It's basically a Tier 7 StuG. Then I realized it would cost me the same as 3-4 full games and thought better of it.

Lulz, I watched a few episodes of that.

The level of detail not just in the drawings, but also the descriptions of their tanks, is quite good.

Did they nerf the german accuracy again? My server-side reticule radius is ~1.5x the client-side one in Mathmod

All web mmos are like that: rely on a handful of trust fund babies with no lives to spend thousands of dollars and keep them going.

Nope, this is new.

UO, Everquest, even WoW were nothing like that. All you needed was $14.99 a month and the rest was up to you. Now you can pay whatever you want...and the more you pay, the better you play. It's nauseating.

No, in fact effective accuracy got a huge boost because there's a tigher bell-curve distribution towards the center of the reticle. Some people don't even wait for it to shrink before firing, and they win that way.

Btw, which variant of the Mathmod are you using? I still haven't found a nice minimalist version.

It's not new in web mmos (as in browser base dones). Been playing some on and off for at least 3 years and they were like that from the start. I guess the disease has spread into the rest.

Hate to say it, but WoT is not pay 2 win, it's a highly skill based game. However the people who are dedicated to the gaining of skill in it, honestly are the ones who would be willing to spend money on it.

I have 3 premium tanks. I'm terrible at the game, but trying to get better. I unlocked my first tier 8 today(Nowhere near affording it), and my 6th tier six.

I can tell you this, gold rounds are good, but they can be earned in normal play. Large repair kits are good, but they can be earned in normal play.

My premiums are the Dicker Max, purchased today because it was priced below the ridiculousness it was previously, the Matilda BP, and the T-25. I'm contemplating purchasing a KV-5 gift pack today. It would be my forth premium and about the 2 hundreth dollar I spent on the game. After membership fees, etc. I don't use my premiums to Overpower, I'm not getting into an IS-6 or a Lowe and lolling on newbs, my premiums actually have normal matchmaking for their tiers.

I'm not more powerful than you, the matilda BP is slow as a cow(Downhill speed of 25 KMpH, flat land speed of 22 KMpH), with a low pen gun, that just happens to fire fast and semi accurate and finally it has pretty much no armor. The M4 outclasses it in almost every fashion.

The T-25 is similar but to the opposite, it's decently fast, but turns like a cow, has no armor, and it's gun routinely bounces against tanks in it's tier if they angle. The PZ-3/4 out paces it in every role it excels in.

The dickermax has a low turret ascent and descent as well as a tiny firing arc, this coupled with its low hitpoints, "LOL what armor" level of armor, and lack of maneuverability means that it is easily countered and is practically useless in a lot of roles that other tank destroyers excel. It is completely outclassed by the Hellcat.

But people hate on them because either they are poor and can't afford a 10 dollar purchase for something that is a permanent fixture and can be instantly used to train crews, or generate fantastic amounts of Free XP. But then again, elited tanks can do that just as well, if not better, because often, in the case of things like the KV-1S or the IS, or the IS-3 and KV-4 to go up to higher tiers, you've been playing that tank for longer, you know it inside and out, and if you don't you aren't someone who should be playing in a match, because if you don't know your tank and how it can fare against an given enemy within its tier, you will do something dumb, like not charging that KV-1S in your T-150 because you can shoot 3 times for .7 times its damage and pen it every time in the time it takes it to reload once. Aim for the hull, it'll be over soon, and you might even be alive.

Using gold rounds is better than normal rounds. Gold rounds are unsustainable without paying money.

Lol what, the t-10s still take months to unlock even with multiple premium tanks, you can't just pay to unlock a tier ten tank. They don't even sell tier nine tanks. Quit trolling and kindly fuck off.
