Out of sick curiosity, did you blow those 100 euros on cosmetics only or runes too?
Because it's quite hilarious how everybody says Lol is free and then claim they have spent 'oh not much, like 50 bucks' on it
Mind you, I know you don't have to. Just supporting the developer you like I guess.
No runes, only cosmetics or new champs. If I could buy runes it would be better, cause pretty much when I save some IP I get a new champ, and its a fucking grind to get to the 6000 IP when you get 70-120 IP per win. I only have 2 main rune pages and to build a third one would take like 2-3 months atleast to gather 15-20 000 IP. And Im way to fucking lazy for that, its still just a game afterall.
Christ, son! 100 euros!?
For that, you could've gotten both the champ bundles, a rune page bundle and still have moolah left over for a pimpin' skin or two. Given how many free IP boosts EU has gotten of late, how can you not have enough IP for runes?
Personally, I've sunk 60 euros into LoL. I consider this quite cheap, considering I've been playing regularly since closed beta. Several of the people I play with haven't paid anything at all for the game. They usually play a smaller selection of champions - often the free champs of the week - but are still able to play competitively in ranked. At the moment, I have maxed rune pages, pretty much all the runes I need to play the champs I know and every champion except Trundle, Garen, Vladimir and Gragas unlocked. At the present rate, I amass IP faster than they release new champions, even at 6300 IP price points, so pretty soon I'll have every champion unlocked (even though I only play 20 or so with any regularity). Leftover IP usually goes towards runes for messing about.
The trick to runes is getting the most versatile ones first. Step 1 is not buying any runes at all until you can get tier 3 runes at level 21. No reason to get lesser runes at all, since you're goign to be facing scrubs until you hit lv30 anyhow. Next up, unless you play some ridiculusly specific build (like jungle akali), there are runes that are good for just about everyone.
Quintessences: Flat hp. Seriously. they're good on just about any champ.
Marks: Armor Penetration, Magic Penetration. Optionally Attack Speed if you jungle a lot.
Seals: Mana Regen/Level, Flat Armor. Optionally dodge, but flat Armor is usually better
Glyphs: Cooldown reduction, MR/Level. Optionally attack speed if jungling.
The above runes are good on just about any champion. If you haven't got a ton of rune pages, keeping your page viable for multiple champions will save you a lot of headaches if someone picks your favourites. When deciding to get a rune that comes in "-flat" and "-per level" flavours, usually go with whichever rune will give you the best benefit by level 8. If the per-level hasn't caught up with the flat by then, just stick to the flat rune. Notable exception being flat hp quintessences, which are awesome for preventing you from getting killed for the first 2-4 levels and conceding first blood.
For starter runes, I reccomend 3x flat hp quints. 9x (mag/ar)Pen marks (depending on the damage type of your favourite champions), 9x flat armor/mana regen/level seals and 9x cooldown glyphs.
That page will work for just about everyone except a few specific junglers.
First investment after that is gettign whichever kind of mark (armor pen/magic pen) you didn't get first, folowed by whichever kind of seal you didn't get to account for manaless/mana hungry champs.
