I was expecting a game with inventory and loot drops. Even sucky mobile phone RPGs available for free in the Google Play Store have these.
Seriously, WTF Harebrained.

I still expect to have a good time with the game and I think I will get enough value for my KS pledge money, but we will see.

RE; newfags. Wait and see but the game could be nothing but turn based combat, 2d backgrounds and the setting, with 80% of features missing. That's shit, no matter what you tell me.
Butthurt oldfag ? ;)
It would still be fine by me though because i already love the 2d background and the setting.
Only for that and the editor it's worth 15$, for me at least.
And unless the TB combat or the story are truly awful, i would be more than happy.
But, well, like 80% of the features you have imagined are missing, it is for sure going to be shit.
Not your fault if you have a too big imagination:bounce:

I don't know about loot drops, but here is a post from the shadowrun forum:

Inventory has two broad groups: "quest items" and then everything that has combat implications (guns, spells, medkits, grenades). All the combat stuff can be 'interacted with' (i.e. used) during a fight. But the non-combat stuff -- your PDA will show that you possess these items, but you don't interact with / click on / consume, etc. those items from the PDA.
TRIGGERS, however, can check for whether you posses any item (combat or non-combat) and do something because of it. The trick is, depending on the nature of the Quest Item, how do you present it to the user so that if feels like they are the one initiating the use of the item -- 'cause you'll need some kind of Prop in the scene, or a Region where when you enter it something happens, or somewhere in a Conversation it knows that you have an item and presents you with appropriate options. etc. etc.
Hope that helps.

In other words, they don't have a specific inventory window however the basic inventory functionality is still there.

I pre-ordered this and I have sadly way too many games on at this moment to play on launch date :(

anyone doing anything to feed a Shadowrun need in the meantime? the Genesis and SNES games are too horrible retro. I've found one MUD that's sorta okay, but it's kinda dead and has MUD soporifics goin on. a MUSH, but I'm not sure I wanna try to get into literate~online~roleplayes~ right now. reading a few ruleboks.

and I refuse to pay moneys for that recent universally panned 3D game

I really loved the Genesis Shadowrun but I could never figure how to do the hacking part of the game no matter how many guides I tried to read online.

Really looking forward to the upcoming PC game

it's got a thuggish charm til you realize that you're gonna be doing the same runs a zilliondy times before you can progress anywhere. I can see having liked it when I was 9 and determined and had summers and no sex life.

Try the shadowrun novel 2XS, it's one of the best, very enjoyable and even more of you like the setting.
Some other novels are quite good but others really suck.

We've had hardcore humans before though. They all end up drowning in the cum sooner or later :M

Hell, I should know. I was one...

Talking about that will you be able to have wolverine claws like in the mega drive game? This is very important.

There is a specific inventory window. Here, I'll show you.

Takes a while to get started, but shows the inventory fairly early on. Combat drugs are in!

Store window at the 14 min mark too. Machetes are in as well. :incline:
When he gets into a fight around the 20 minute mark, enemies drop loot. Although it is auto-claimed when they die. Not perfect, but better than what people seemed to think they were getting (IE: Nothing)
