In the brain scorcher lab enemies can literally spawn behind you in rooms you've cleared as you're leaving
Nonsense, 29 monolith guys spawn only once as you pull the lever. No additional spawns

This is well seen in the stealth run

Maybe they can move through areas that are impassable to the player, like how they can walk up vertical walls, because I had guys come up from behind while I was looting when I knew there was no one left behind me.

I think sometimes the amount of doods overwhelms the engine, so sometimes, and possibly because of some quickload fuckery, you can pass by dudes that weren't there but become activated with a bit of wait, materialising out of nowhere

I saw some post saying that apparently only Nexus is allowed to host S2 mods
What does it mean - "allowed"? Libs tried to shutdown https://basedmods.eth.limo/ and https://modhq.org/ and utterly failed.
Moddb has some addons and mods already, including a reshade that makes the game look more dingy like AA: https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-zone-11

Looks way more "Stalker" to me than the base game does. Also there are addons on there to make the mutants less bullet-spongey and improve Veteran difficulty. Now let's see if a modder can create a persistent a-life system that extends past 100 yards!

I was gonna pick this up yesterday but much to my dismay I found out it's not on PS5. Ukraine can burn in hell. I will send President Trump thousands of letters demanding the cease and desist of spending tax payers' dollars to protect those degenerate scumbags.

If you want to shoot things play COD

Congrats on the dumbest take so far in this thread.
It's a perfectly good take.

Stolkor 2 is a remake of the original games made specifically for consoles, shoddily ported to PC, and slightly retouched for the sake of modern audience (added women, niggers, yellow ladders etc). It is what it is. It's nothing more.

Nobody who played Shadow of ChErnobyl on release and actually enjoys the original series can look at Stolkor 2 with anything but disgust. Also, if any of you niggers actually played SoC on release you'd know it was NOWHERE near as bugged as Stolkor 2. Sure, SoC was obviously unfinished (best example: deteriorating weapons but nobody in the game who can repair weapons), and it would occassionally crash, but there were no Stolkor 2 level bugs: t-posing enemies spawning behind you, corpses dismembering themselves, enemies glitching into one another, weapons suddenly losing sound effects, enemies noticing you from the other side of a building, glitching lighting, floors not spawning (seriously, what the fuck?). None of that shit was present in SoC on release.

Anyone who played Shadow of Chernobyl or Call of Pripyat recently enough to remember these games will naturally be aware that Stolkor 2 is shit compared to these games on all levels.

And that is all without even taking into consideration the modding scene. Unpaid modders did much better than actual developers who want actual money for this barely working crap. Modded Stalker does EVERYTHING better than Stolkor 2. I won't even talk about things like better animations, a far greater number of immersive systems and increased complexity in every aspect of the game, I'll just mention the tiny little fact that A-Life actually works: you get a fully dynamic, simulated zone, with warring factions fighting against themselves on their own, conquering outposts, dying to mutants and emissions, IN THE ENTIRE GAME WORLD, NOT JUST 50 METERS AROUND YOU. The zone lives, NPCs in the zone live, and you can get an immersive experience because you feel you're just some guy in a world that is not built around you just for you, but exists on its own. Very few games can give you this feeling, which is why Stalker is so unique.

You can enjoy your weapon wheel and your retarded yellow ladders, but you won't change the basic fact that Stolkor 2 is just an Xbox remake of the original games, and it's not even a good remake.

Eurogamer: WHERE ARE THE NIGGERS AND TROONS 3/5

There's also a homogeneity to the soldiers of the Zone that feels distracting at times - an endless truckload of men with the same haircut, the same gruff pessimism, the same iffy voice acting. If Stalker has taken much of its mechanical inspiration from 2007, it has also taken its approach to casting from the same era. I met a woman once, after 26 hours of playing. She acted like all the other men. It's possible there's some thoughtful lore to explain the Zone's lack of diversity, and I simply didn't clock it. But regardless of intent the story remains a homogenous parade of lads being lads, where one man bleeds into another, literally and figuratively

That's gonna go over real well given the recent incline in politics. Roast in piss eurogaymer, you will not be missed.

I ran into random empty village fairly close to base and two bloodsuckers jumped me :(
It didn't go well. This game needs traps and mines.. or flash or other types of grenades.

Also respawning enemies and mutants are really stupid. If they respawned every few days I could maybe say OK but they respawn multiple times per day..

I wonder if these dumbfucks think the same thing about real-world situations. "Why is the Ukrainian army so overwhelmingly white?" When the war started I remember seeing videos of black exchange students and visitors trying to flee the country as fast as they could...so why would blacks willingly come to the Zone?

"I simply didn't clock it" means "I simply didn't play any of the original games, and I have zero interest in the game's established world." He is just above it, because he's woke. Note also how he adds the phrase "literally and figuratively" to the end of that paragraph for no reason at all, merely attempting to throw a "smarty man phrase" into his writing so it seems like he's above you as a "game journalist." This is extremely typical of faggot hack writing in academia and elsewhere, where midwits distinguish themselves not by actual thought and analysis, and certainly not by creativity, but rather by this kind of empty roleplaying as being smart. They bleed into one another, literally and figuratively. How is that a meaningful comparison? What does it even mean? It means absolutely nothing. This kind of empty virtue-signaling through meaningless smart-sounding phrases is what most blogging consists of also. Just faggots with nothing to say, who know there should be more women and niggers in everything, and that every writer or artist who worked before 2011 was an evil, bigoted fool.

I just looked up a picture of the Stalker 2 dev team, by the way:

Xbox-Celebrates-European-Developers-at-gamescom-2024.jpg

From an article called "How the developers of Stalker 2 weathered the Ukraine war to make their game." Stunning and brave.

Did they really need five women to help them make this game? And one of them a brown woman? How many brown women are there in the Ukraine? There's an easter egg picture of the Shadow of Chernobyl dev team in Lab X-18, and they're a group of regular-looking Ukrainian guys. Smart-looking Ukrainian guys, actually. They're mostly tall, and none of them are fat. They're actual nerds who made what they did probably primarily out of love of what they were doing, rather than for love of fame and money. That's why SHoC was such an envelope-pushing, interesting, intelligent game, and why Stalker 2 is console slop. This group of women and fruity-looking men aren't developers in the vein of oldschool GSC or Half-Life Valve or Id Software. They are a DEI-curated 21st century collection of people working for a corporation with the intent of producing a product that will make a lot of money. Maybe some of the people in that picture are really intelligent and creative and cool, but most of them? I doubt it. In 2007 GSC it was probably almost all of them.

FWIW I think the only people that work on GSC in that photo are the redhead chick and the dude in the white hoodie. The others are people from different studios partnered with Microsoft. The brown chick works for Xbox.

It's mostly the dev team, with a few Microsoft people apparently. One of them is Ievgen Grygorovych's wife. His wife helps him make the vidya game.

This game gives me all the reason to never want to touch Unreal engine in the future. It definately doesn't scale for games like this.
At least Johnny Depp is working again.
You can tell that the lady with the bowl on her head is probably unliked, look at how much distance there is, you could fit like 3 other people in the gap.
Fuck off Phil, you're not a dev. Fuck off.
Train Sim World 5... this guy fucks. /s
Two Point guy is the ladies man.
The back row probably did all the work lol.

Tbh I'm hopeful that this (and other ai issues) will actually get a serious fix because it's a matter of programming alone. The problems that are harder to fix [...]
Just because it is a programming matter doesn't mean it is easy to fix.

An apocalyptic wasteland is supposed to be empty and barren to reflect the desolation. If you want to shoot things play COD.
Not really. You can have a lot of abandoned urban areas, instead of a "wasteland" that is "supposed to be empty and barren". In fact, I'd argue that's what makes STALKER more interesting as a ["post-apocalyptic"] setting over a literal wasteland where there is nothing as far as you can see. Exploring abandoned buildings was a lot of fun in the original game for me. And it makes a great setup for firefights, too.

This game wasn't made in Ukraine. It was made in Prague (Czechia/Bohemia).
