No, unfortunately it is literal nausea. I don't mind the graphics myself, they are functional - it is something with the depth of field or the framerate maybe that causes this to me, someone linked me to a fix for that ago but it still didn't work. :(
Head bob is a possible problem too.

On topic, Morrowind and Daggerfall

You basically never know if you can actually don an armor or a weapon before it is bought, and even then, you rarely know why you can't.

Maybe you're buying armour and clothing with wrong size for your character?

Yes. I've done that before. Problem is, there is no way of knowing this from the ingame information, before you have made the mistake. Or is there?

I don't really remember, but you can always do it AoD-style: save-buy-try-reload.

Wizardry 8. And I never will. It's combat - combat -combat - combat - ad nauseam. I don't like this kind of game. And I liked M&M6 very much.

Planescape Torment. Somehow, I always stop at a point where it comes to the parts of D&D that I don't particularly like. This demon or devil business bores me. But I'm convinced I will finish it some day.

I think there was, I don't remember it having been a problem with either of my dwarf or half-ogre chars. Maybe small armour and clothing took less spaces on the inventory grid? But my memory is hazy.

Arcanum, ToEE, PST (only played it through once and ended up fighting the final guy and unable to win - actually unable to get to the end of the fight due to memory leak).

I'm pretty sure they took less space in the grid. As to his complaint about items breaking, I seem to remember a clearly listed durability figure.

gaudaost some NPCs will have an "I'd like you to repair my equipment" dialogue option available.
You can also attempt to do so yourself, but investing in that skill is in my opinion, ill advised.

It's probably been long enough for this not to be a spoiler, but the junk shop in Tarant is probably the best place to get them repaired early on. You can miss him quite easily if you never visit the docks.

Anything that is refined that I haven't played or finished will be completed eventually so I won't include any game here.

Fallout 1
Fallout 2
Arcanum

Jesus, what the fuck are you here for? Arcanum I can understand, but you haven't the 12-15 hours to finish a simple game like Fallout?

All Wizardry games and blobbers in general.

My storyfag nigga! :) I haven't finished, and actually just barely started Wizardry games. The character creation screen usually does it for me, I can't make up my mind what is the best party to try and since Wiz is all about min-max grindan there are ample opportunities to make things incredibly difficult for yourself(or tedious) by not getting the party right.

BG2 and Morrowind, they are just so very dull. Also Gothic 2 (with the expansion).

I started playing Gothic 2 after having played the first and I suppose I was rather worn on the game by that point, but it just did not feel as tight and focused as the first Gothic. I found myself remaking characters over and over again because I made some fatal error, like trying to balance one and two-handed weapons or going into ranged without the knowledge to get enough money for arrows and training. I still find Gothic 2 intriguing and entertaining but the necessity of meta-gaming really wore me out.

I'm rather amazed so many here have not finished Arcanum, let alone Fallout or Bloodlines; then again, I have been accurately described as a storyfag.

Some are, some aren't (and for that matter, not all of the HOMM games are in the same world)

Jon Van Caneghem was never a big worldbuilder.

Ok, I'll start with RPGs that I actually played that reviewers praised while most RPGCodexers acknowledge were bad:

Ultima IX: I was a huge Origin fanboy, but what a pile of crap this was. This game changed my opinion of the company. I quit after I saw what the developers did to poor Iolo.

Neverwinter Nights 2, Mask of the Betrayer: I really am angry at myself for wasting my time with NWN 1 and its expansions, then NWN 2. I guess I liked some of the fan mods and was hoping for a return of the Planescape and Baldur's Gate feel that I really loved. I know a lot of people praise Mask of the Betrayer, and I wanted to like it, but the horrible NWN engine could not make this game any fun, although I did ironically enjoy the story more than the previous NWN games, and thought the shadow land was well done. I quit shortly after that mission. I think I was just worn out of the engine at this point. Unlike in the previous Mask of the Betrayer games, I did like most of my fellow party members. Except Gannayev of Dreams. God, I wanted to punch him in his face. I didn't try the later mods, and they might have been good, but I don't ever want to see that game engine again.

Final Fantasy XII: I play a little whiny girlie-man while the two other male party members are supporting characters? FAIL! I gave up 3/4s into the game. If I ever buy another Final Fantasy game, it will probably be that recent reworking of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

Dragon Age Origins: I was already skeptical of Bioware after NWNs 1 and 2. I finally learned after Dragon Age Origins. I felt they tried to hard to be edgy and a lot of comments and scenes seemed to be tacked on. Like the cleric who liked to bone and the uber-goth mage chick. The gameplay was horrible, the towns were not interactive and nothing in the world made sense. I was almost ready to quit when I found some bandits sitting on the edge of one of the towns. I dragged them into the town, thinking that the guards would help me kill them, but instead they chased me around while the townsfolk lacked any reaction to a running battle in the streets. I quit when I saw the typical savage werewolves and the Lord of the Rings Treebeard knock-off. I think I was about a third of the way through.

This is a list of games that many Codexers liked, that I could not finish.

Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder: I actually prefer turn-based games. These have a great reputation, but they are too much of a hybrid of action and pen and paper party-based play. I'm currently am playing the Might and Magic series starting at number one, and the first Ultima Underworld and am having a blast. It has the same perspective as these games, but allows me to take my time (MM1), or has me only focus on one character (UW1). I did finish and enjoy the similar Dungeon Hack, but probably because it felt like a rogue-like.

Ultima VI: Again, I love the Ultima series (except 9). But I just couldn't get into Ultima 6. I hate the cheesy grins on the faces of your rescuers during the opening animation, the interface to pick up and use items, and the color scheme that makes it difficult to understand what I'm looking at. Sorry, but I can't get more than a few hours into this before giving up.

ADOM : I keep trying to play a troll, which means I keep starving to death. So I can't finish it, but that's mostly self-inflicted. I will finish you one day, ADOM. Oh yes... I will.

The Temple of Elemental Evil: It's really my fault. When I play a game, I want to kill everything, so when I got to the elemental rooms I wouldn't just grab the items and run. I took the battles as a challenge, and died about 20 times. Finally, I uninstalled the game in frustration. I liked the game until that point, and was nearly done, but I doubt I'll ever come back to it.

Elder Scrolls Arena and Elder Scrolls Daggerfall: The combat is just too choppy for me. I tried to get into these games, but swinging my sword around never felt natural in these two. I've retried them several times but quit after a few hours.

The Bard's Tale: It's just a hack and slash grind leveler. At least Might and Magic 1 and Wizardry have better puzzles. I'm sorry, but this game is overrated.

Curse of the Azure Bonds: I loved the Pool of Radiance game, and am having a blast doing my Let's Play series on the FRUA fan mods. But I just can't get into Curse of the Azure Bonds once I leave the city and go through the overland map. Something about it is just not clicking for me. I think what is dragging me down is the overland map lacks the exploration of Pool of Radiance, and that the high-level play just doesn't seem as fun for me as Dungeons and Dragons combat from levels 1-7.

Betrayal at Krondor: The turn-based combat looks right up my alley, but I can't get passed the horrible real-life portraits of people in bad make-up. Maybe I'll come back to this, but it might be some years, with all the Might and Magic games, half the Gold Box games, FRUA fan mods, Albion, Ultima clones like Excelsior and Ultizurk, Realms of Arkania series, Magic Candle Series, Wasteland 1, and Dark Heart of Uukrul still in my queue. God, I love Abandonware and DOSBox.

I liked Gannayev, he came across to me as someone who was a natural outsider but due to his abilities he could only believe that the world itself was an outsider amongst the other worlds in the grand scheme of dimension and perception and that he was merely a dabbler in the prime material plane, but I might be mixing things up, it's been a while. Mask of the Betrayer is, in a way, similar to Nehrim, they both did as well as can be expected from the engine they had to work with. MotB did good by not being very combat-centric which lessened the burdens of the engine, if only slightly; there were some tedious areas but I can't recall it ever engaging in a severe filler-slog.

The questionable entry is that of BaK; surely those portraits are a motivation to play the game, not a detriment.

Daggerfall, Darklands, Mount & Blade - I just mess around and then stop playing in these games. I don't give a shit about the overall goal. I actually like all of these games, and have played them quite a bit, just not won them.

Dark: Sun Shattered Lands... I got the bug that prevents you from fighting the final boss. :(

NWN, NWN2 - They are shit. I got further with NWN2 than with NWN, but then I couldn't take it anymore. Bad combat, lots of combat, unremarkable story, and poor usability in general. I did play through MoTB, but that took some doing.

System Shock 2 - I got to the level with all the radiation and explosive hugbots (2 or 3, I think was) before I curled up into a little ball and started weeping. Nah, it was mainly the respawning enemies (especially the aforementioned shuicide-bombing robots) that made me rage-quit.

Temple of Elemental Evil. I really love the game in concept but I can't quite get used to the UI, the bizarre ambient music, and the lack of direction. The combat is great from what I've tried of it, but it didn't have enough pushing me forward to keep me engaged for too long. I'm not even a total storyfag, it just strikes me as more a tech demo for a D&D engine rather than a truly complete game.

Morrowind (is this bro-approved?) because I always get fucking bored after a while, not to mention lost/distracted/etc.

Almost any Gold Box game and most of the Ultima games, because frankly the DOS-era graphics and interface are something that I just don't cope well with. If I'd grown up playing them I think it'd be a very different story.

Neverwinter Nights series. First game blows chunks, could never get past the crap opening even though apparently later on gets better and the expansions improve. Sequel is pretty good but I simply haven't had the time to keep playing it and the expansions (got about halfway through, I'll probably pick it up again soon).

Dungeon Siege III is the worst game I've played in at least five years, but I still see some notable people praising it.
Aside from the fact that it is almost nothing like the original games, it really isn't that bad in my opinion. It has good mechanics (combat is basically management between health/mana/focus, enough for an action RPG), although it has to be played with a gamepad. The story is nothing special but for a hack and slash it certainly gets the job done, even has some mild C&C. The DLC is pretty good too, and overall it's decently varied and well-paced. Not a top 10 RPG or anything, just good, solid fun for the 20ish hours I spent on it. In retrospect I enjoyed it way more than, say, Diablo III.

wat :? apparently you can't into tactics.

the only challenging fight is against that mother fucker boss in the Fire Node, and you can cheese it if you're really desperate

There's no ending for mount and blade
It's just a combat engine to enjoy or was there a story mode that i missed?
