Turns out I'm a bitch-made loser and bought Judgment on sale, already put 30 odd hours into it. New guy's less horrible than I imagined, he's very low-key and has some good comedic timing that Kiryu generally lacked and Ichiban failed to have. Shame he doesn't sing at all lol

Nonsense, every Trails game contains completely bespoke unique assets. Your senses are just not trained to notice the differences between games because they lie in a completely sub-atomical level too minuscule for your feeble minds to grasp. Assets in Trails games were not made by the hand of man, nay. Or maybe they saw that people have wanted a fun pirate game and Ubisoft totally shit the bed, so they sorted out how to justify their asset re-use and get it to market.

I know, I liked Kaito better but Tabo is cool too. Wouldnt mind if he was the MC, just that there were rumors of troubles between his idol agency and Sega.

A year late to the party, but boy was I disappointed with Infinite Wealth.

I only played Like a Dragon. Loved it. But got tired after 70+ hour walkthrough, so wasn't really excited about IW, especially hearing from the devs that it'll be even bigger.
By the end of 2024, I heard some good things about the game from my acquaintances and bought it on sale with like -50% discount.

I got strange vibes from the start. I didn't like the forced romance at all. And then, story-wise, it only got worse. Ichiban was made insufferable; he literally is ready to risk his ass for everybody. That was not the case in the previous game. I lost it when I was forced to play a farm sim game, I just couldn't.

Gameplay-wise it had it's moments, like the battle system or that sujimon game. But in general, it's a hot mess of everything. I wish I'd replayed LaD instead.

And the worst, considering the overwhelmingly good reception, I think the devs will draw the wrong conclusions.

You'll meet characters around town who may be willing to join the Goro Pirates, including some familiar faces from past games. Scout your favorites and assemble the crew of your dreams!

CHALLENGES

Completing challenges, such as defeating enemy pirates or gathering treasure, helps Majima increase the crew's reputation. As you earn more reputation, the pirate rank of the Goro Pirates will increase, unlocking a slew of benefits!

A TREASURY OF TREASURES
Use the Treasury of Treasures to discover hints about the locations of hidden treasures.
When obtaining a treasure, you'll receive money and reputation, which can help you strengthen the Goro Pirates and improve their pirate rank. Amass a fortune and work toward completing the log!

BOUNTIES
Take down wanted criminals and turn them in for some cold, hard cash. Bounties are an excellent way to rake in enough dough to strengthen Majima and upgrade the Goromaru, so keep an eye out for bounties on the map and wanted posters!

RINGS
Accessories that Majima can equip with varying special effects, including boosts to his Attack and Defense. In addition to purchasing them in stores, you can acquire them by helping townspeople with their troubles or finding them in treasure chests. Your equipped rings can be seen on Majima's fingers, so have fun decking him out with different looks and effects!
