Look at you two ratbags, coming in here every day to play tag team on Drakortha but don't actually have anything tangible to add to the conversation. Just admit that you love each other and be done with it.

Shitbird is clogging up objective discussion of the game by repeating the same shit, without replying to anybody in specific = spam.

Also admits she never played the game so why does she keep talking?

Bro, I'm considering putting you on ignore because of your repetitive posts about someone else's repetitive posts who you refuse to put on ignore.

There's a reason we never got a sequel.

Oh, Godzilla wasn't just referencing rumors.

I'll wait and see if it doesn't get twisted closer to the modern framework of AAA games. But yeah, don't think it was ever as big a project for the studio as RE4.

The worst thing I can say about this remake without playing it in response to Drakortha's endless complaining is that its presence reminds us that Capcom will never make a game as ambitious as Resident Evil 4 again. If they don't already have a proven game whose design, story and art they can iterate on with a remake, then they will check off the same boxes as everybody else for cinematic CORRIDOR games and open world collect-a-thon RPG things, to reduce risk. There is too much inbred design now, too much money involved, too many investors, to make a AAA game that's fun and expansive.

They’ve already made more ambitious games than Resident Evil 4 since the original Resident Evil 4 came out. Hell, Dragon’s Dogma was way more ambitious and it’s only just now getting a follow-up.

I can’t say I really mind Capcom returning to stuff at this moment given how often Japanese video game companies just randomly drop old series for little to no reason. Like, a Power Stone remake was listed in that 2020 leak. I welcome a Power Stone remake. Power Stone is fucking great and I wish Capcom hadn’t just stopped doing stuff with the series almost 23 years ago now. I wouldn’t mind seeing Capcom Japan make a new Dead Rising game. The Canadian studio really fucked that series, but the first two Dead Rising games are pretty great, and there’s really nothing else like it on the market. I really want to see what the hell the Final Fight and Captain Commando remakes are. I want to see them try their hand at a new Gun.Smoke like Red Dead was meant to be.
Dragons Dogma is from the before times, the generation in which many Japanese studios struggled with the new expectations, when Sony dismantled much of Japan Studio (with Last Guardian in development hell and ending Team Ico as we know them as well). There's a reason we never got a sequel. Not sure I'd place it by RE4 in terms of expansiveness and production value anyway. The writing, acting and faces were low quality and there is a repetitive cheapness in the adventure. RE4 in comparison was really cinematic in a way developers can no longer grasp and had varied, richly textured environments.

Sony didn’t dismantle Japan Studio until the generation after Capcom put out Dragon’s Dogma. Sony put out Tokyo Jungle and Gravity Rush the same year Capcom released Dragon’s Dogma.

Dragon’s Dogma is definitely more expansive than Resident Evil 4. They also had to create tools for the game so the animations functioned, the clothing and armor looked right, and your character was always properly on screen during cut scenes no matter how big or small you made your character. Most games don’t even let you fuck with your characters size like that for those reasons.

Capcom is still yet to reveal what Pragmata is about. Maybe it would be the innovative AAA experience?

I’d guess we see more of Pragmata this summer. They still haven’t shown anything solid about it yet and it’s still set to come out this year. Capcom has been totally radio silent on that game since announcing it was pushed back from 2022 to 2023. After June 2nd Street Fighter 6 will be out too, and with SF6 and RE4 out the focus with shift to the stuff we know of but they haven’t really said anything about...and maybe they reveal Final Fight remake of something.

We either see Pragmata during the time E3 would’ve been and find out it’s releasing around Christmas or something, or they say it’s pushed back again and maybe or maybe not show anything. They could also show off some of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Drakortha is a dummy for having no respect for RE4, but I have to respect his unrelenting lambasting of the drooling consumer NPCs in this thread, as well as his defense of the OGs. The original 1-3 after all still remain some of the very best in this series. And at this point there are far more bad games in the series than good. What a shame.

Also I suspect he likes Code Veronica, if so that confirms him as a soy boy panty-sniffing troglodyte virgin.

They ARE the best. Including Remake 1.

I'm neutral on Code Veronica.
Fuckin lieing sack of shit. You can't explain anything from those games other than what you maybe saw on youtube. I have proof I played them. Here's a video of me getting smashed by a boulder because of non-tank controls:

You probably don't even know what tank controls are faggot.

Hey you two drunkards. You both live in Australia, don't you?

Why don't you take your bickering out to the streets instead of shitting up this thread?

Stfu bitch. I actually gave legit opinions on the game backed up with videos of me playing it. This clown is just here to troll. If you can't see the difference then fuck ya.
