From my side by side analysis I think it's fair to say RE3 is the best looking game in the RE engine.

Ask drakortha about his video game experience. He reminds me of the Half-Life hater seco.

https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads/half-life-is-shit.143035/

Apparently these niggers only played two or three games in their entire 40-50 year old existence.

No. I'm not a freaking chatbot.
I know a lot of people are going to have a love/hate relationship with the remake, as people have argued in this thread. Having played a fair amount of the remake of Biohazard RE4, I think the colored objects are pretty ridiculous, and don't seem to be an attempt to make a convenient improvement.

But the comment about Biohazard 4 being a bad game in and of itself confuses me a bit.
The camera mechanics of Biohazard 1-3 are not derivative of Biohazard, but rather a camera mechanic influenced by a great PC adventure called Alone in the Dark.

There was a time when I didn't like Biohazard because it was clearly influenced by Alone in the Dark, but people don't talk about it as much, so I guess I was just jealous.
Anyway, Biohazard 4 is a historic entry for TPS, and I think the series has been free of Alone in the Dark's influence since Biohazard 4.

Literally the exact same game over and over again smh

Not counting Dino Crisis, Haunting Grounds, and the dozens (hundreds?) of other RE clones that were churned out over the years
Gameplay archetype that was all but dead by the middle of the 6th gen (and wasn't that prevalent) vs the most standard type of gameplay today.

Modern games are super generic, stop defending vidya goyslop.

Do you really want me to go through the annals of history and dig out every single Resident Evil clone?

Oh wait, Avalanche Reviews has done it for me.

You're missing the point. We're talking about Resident Evil, we're not talking about clones made by indie studios / studios with less resources than Crapcom has. How is this a strong argument for the degradation of a classic Survival Horror series into an action adventure series?

Crapcom turned RE into palatable shit for the masses to consume year after year with no thought to create something unique or memorable. Why? Because it sells to dumbfucks who don't want a true Survival Horror experience. These dumbfucks just want an action adventure game with lite Survival features so they can LARP and tell everyone they play Survival Horrors games. It's the same shit you see with modern "RPGs" where everything is toned down and made generic and palatable. Look at Skyrim. They don't call that baby's first RPG for nothing. These fucks don't want to play an RPG, they just want to play RPG-lite and pretend like they play RPG's.

Well no, he wasn't. But whatever.

I dunno, that's just like your opinion man.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your RE4 experience. I did. So did many others.

Well no I just wanted to kick a ganado in the face. I enjoyed that. I enjoyed creeping around the spencer mansion too. And hunting for playing card keys. And being hunted by nemmy. And shooting two zombies at the same time with uzis. Ad infinitum. Once again, you just sound like a man who can't enjoy himself, hunting for some cringe notion of games as being some DEEP EXPERIENCE. Next you'll be spouting some high-art cringe.

I don't know, I don't play RPGs. RPGs are gay.

In conclusion, maybe take your own advice.
Gaming is dead. Go outside.

I don't know; did you go some obscure jazz forum and start whinging about him and insulting people who liked his music?
Is this Crapcoms fan page or is it a video game forum mean't for discussion and discourse? There's always the option for you to join reddit if you don't like it.

But I understand, you would rather I leave so you can have more space to circle jerk and simp over Ashley Graham twitter posts, and the porn mods and memes that are no doubt going to turn up in a matter of weeks. The internet was a mistake, that's for sure.

Sorry not happening. I'm going to be here forever.

In 30 years when the Codex is long gone, you'll be browsing some obscure classic video games of the 90s - 2020's board and you will find a topic about Resident Evil. While browsing that thread, you will notice someone in the crowd calling out RE4 as being a piece of shit that always was. You look at the username of the poster, "Drakortha".

That's not a mod, is the actual game.
during the island section

The game is kinda pervy sometimes: Ashley's boobs have jiggle physics, the camera points at Ada's ass everytime she gets on screen (Her booty almost transparents), the female cultists wear highheels under the robes, etc. But some weirdos keep crying about some jokes being removed.

Btw here's an actual mod

Not sure what's going on in my case, but they don't get stunned when I shoot them in the head. They don't even flinch. I tried again just now and one guy completely ignored being shot in the face as he rushed and grabbed me. I'm going to restart the game in case I accidentally enabled hard mode.

The difficulty is way higher than it was in the original game, but mostly because the combat feels very inconsistent (which is by design, but I'm not a fan of that).

The original game had very tight and predictable mechanics - you always knew what animations/moves Leon and enemies will perform, the movement was very solid and gamey, and all of the enemies had predictable behaviors. The remake, on the other hand, is very "loose" - just like in RE2Remake, enemies tend to have inconsistent hit reactions (sometimes a headshot makes them flinch, sometimes it makes them to fall on the ground, sometimes it sets them up for a melee attack, and sometimes they just tank the damage and keep going).

Overly realistic and sluggish movement is partly to blame as well, along with a very low accuracy on your starting pistol. I suggest you to spend spinels on a laser sight ASAP, since it removes the need to wait for the aiming reticle to shrink down (yes, the game has the same mechanic as RE2 where your pistol has a higher crit/stagger chance with a shrunk down reticle).
I wish the RE3 Remake team did this game like how it was originally planned, they understand more about action games.

I had heard the Regenerators get overhyped by e-celebs for years before I had ever actually played the game, so unfortunately they didn't strike that much of a chord with me. They are really cool enemies, though. Their theme, the noises they make, their animations, all of it's really great and creepy.
They are a bit overhyped. I remember the first time I played the game, taking the first one out with just the magnum. They are creepy as shit, but if you're roughly aware of how they work it isn't too troublesome.

Interesting, Capcom's the kind of company where you don't really know where they're going on this, they've gone for both the coomer crowd and the feminist crowd. Not really sure I care for coomers over feminists, since either way I'd prefer to have Luis's jokes. And they added female cultists? I don't remember any female enemies beyond the villagers.

So, how does the remake compare? Seems like the voice acting is worse and the tone has shifted completely into grimdark. I also heard there's some blue medallion-esque sidequest involving rats. That's obviously decline, but the real question is if the new stuff makes up for it and the rumored losses. From what I'm reading it seems they tried making the combat more realistic with mixed results.
