Disappointed that the RPS interview didn't list all his insane promises from the past, like trees growing up in real time in Fable...

Then again, it was already a huge massacre.

There are plenty of people in the industry that have made bigger and bolder lies than Molyneux, but they get away with it using damage control and media manipulation. Molyneux on the other hand is a terrible liar. He trips over himself trying to damage control his reputation, somehow tricks himself into admitting his failure and then breaks down in an interview he consented to. Only an honest idiot could be this bad at telling lies.

It's hilarious how Molly just dumped this project on a fan.

Wow, lol.

Whatever that was, it was journalism for once.
Quality interview right up there with the likes of Codex' own "Do you know people call you shitcomposer on our forum?"

It's quit opportune right now to score journo-cred by picking an easy target like PM. It'd be something else entirely to pick on Tim Schäfer or other RPS darlings that bullshit and lie through their teeth.

copy pasted from KiA,

>Why not ask that question to a company like Ubisoft or EA?

>Cause everyone hates Molyneux already and he's an old, washed-up, indie developer with no influence in the industry, so Walker can safely throw pie in his face and then get high-fives from all his fans for such a brave hard-hitting piece of journalism.

never thought i'd be defending the idiot, but i agree that it was a shit interview. Just goes to show how quickly these sharks will turn on eachother when they outlive their use.

Looks like the games media is using this to launch a new attack against Kickstarter-funded gaming as a whole. Same old, same old:

I was wondering why the industry was letting this crowd funding shit go. It was only a matter of time before game "we do not have an ethics problem" journalists would start to turn against this stuff. The bribing must flow.

But the game industry is not letting this shit go. In fact, they're probably working on ways to use it for their own gains.

Remember that guy who won that curiosity cube contest? I wonder what he's up to now...

"After six months to a year, they should be more professional," he says. "It's not even about being professional. They're not even interested in their own project. What the f***'s that about?

"So I was like f*** it, I'm not going to try if you're not going to try. You're the one who's supposed to be professional. I'm just this kid who won this thing. And you're this game company. You're supposed to do everything and be the professional one out of me and you. It was a shoddy operation in terms of communication. I was like, fair enough. I suppose I'll speak to you when you speak to me."

In January 2014 Bryan received an email from 22Cans financial chief Peter Murphy. In it Bryan is told someone else would soon get in touch. They never did.

"The strangest thing is, the fact I won this and I'm going to be the God of Gods and be in this game, it never enters my mind at all. I've forgotten about it. I don't think about it ever."

And yet, Bryan believes more in hope than in expectation that he will one day be a digital God, that he will one day rule Godus.

"I believe it will happen. If it doesn't, my mum will go off. She will be really pissed off. She would probably have something to say to them.

"Don't feel bad for me. It is what it is. They would be complete and utter assholes. They would destroy their reputation. I don't believe they would do that. Lots of people would be pissed off."

Molyneux the God of lies, destroyer of childs dreams.

I sometimes think that real life is a big role-play for Molyneux, he sometimes is black and sometimes white and he stars in his own fable making choices but has he answered for the consequences?
