It's now below the Top 10 on Steam huh :(

In other news Stick to the truth is in top10 again. I wonder how their deal is with south park and ubi because it should sell a lot.

According to steam spy, Stick of Truth has sold 1 million copies.

So if each platform sold more than 1 mln it is:

:slamdunk:

POE is back in top five on Steam. Way to go, Feargus!
Wonder if this has to do with Angry Joe Review lol.

Considering he is empirically the most influential reviewer alive going off of the sheer viewcount he gets. Yeah, I'd say it does.

Also, let that sink in. Irate Jose is the most influential vidya reviewer alive.

I think TB might be a bit more influential than Irate Jose.

TB doesn't review, he does glorified first impressions. Jose 7 dollars also gets more views per video, so his opinions on specific games is more far-reaching.

Out of curiosity, why Jose 7 Dollars?

Vincke just recently said in his GDC talk how influencial Enraged Enrico is and that his reviews have a significant measurable influence on sales (citing for example how Steam sales for Dragon Commander got up after Enrico gave it the badass seal of approval). I supsect that Enrico listened to that talk too, since he incidentally mentions how awesome DIV:OS is no less than three times in his PoE review. Personally, I am okay with that.

I'd love if there'd be proper study on how much youtubers and traditional written game reviews by the journalists hacks affects the sales.

7 dollars became something of a meme associated with Joe because he made a very cringey video appealing to Nintendo about their copyright policies where he took 7 dollars out of his wallet and threw it at the monitor while screaming something along the lines of "you want this? take everything in my wallet nintendo!!"

While he is correct that Nintendo's shooting themselves in the foot with their policies, his performance was really melodramatic and clickbaitey.

Isn't his entire shtick clickbaity?

To an extent, yeah. His "skits" and "angry army" shit are bottom of the barrel trash, but it gets the viewing metrics apparently. At least he actually plays the games and gives them fairly thorough reviews. Can't say the same for a lot of youtubers. Hell, most traditional reviewers on sites often focus far too much on a few talking points while glazing over the larger picture.

You've done it Sawyer! You finally produced a slam dunk that even appeals to AngryJoe... by alienating the sawyerist audience, who were the most outspoken advocates of "aim for mass appeal, ignore the grognards who actually care about RPG mechanics" The revolution devours its own yet again.

How did he alienate the Sawyerist audience?

You turned on it and flip flopped on a bunch of issues ("this game will be released in 2014 unlike those inept folks at Larian who cant release a game on time", "This game will be the first flawless RPG evah great good for what it is, I guess"). And it has cargo cult design. Not to mention the Blizzard design, but I suppose that's business as usual for balance fags.

I honestly didn't expect AJ to make a review of PoE, positive nonetheless, but I guess that beneath the fat layers of idiocy, graphics-whoring conformism and publisher ass-licking techniques developed during the years to appeal to the herds of retards gamers, he still has a sparkle of decency. Good on Obsidian.
Not that when he screams I'd like to punch him less, but it's something...

No I haven't. It's just a question of how much I like it in comparison to New Vegas. It's unlikely I'll dislike it.

Pillars of Eternity was better-managed than Wasteland 2 and Original Sin. The proof is in the critical and player reception.

"This game will be the first flawless RPG evah great good for what it is, I guess").

Blueprint.

Of all the examples to use, that's not one of them. That's an option for IE purists.

Option for IE purists... who are are wrong and dont know shit about design according to Sawyer. And you're already so desparate that you have to use "but they have better management!!!!" as an argument? :retarded: Arcanum had some good ideas but it was a horribly managed project. NBA 2k1 on the other hand was developed with the upmost efficiency and professionalism, so it's clearly the better game. Nevermind the fact that PoE was still released late and that you're wrong.

EDIT: If you'll seriously enjoy New Vegas more than PoE, you should gtfo back to neogaf/IGN/where ever you came from.

1994 X-com is his favorite game of all time and he has covered games like Might&Magic X and strategy games on his channel, so he's a weird case. There are other youtubers like him like Spoony and MetalJesusRocks who are complete popamolers who simultaneously like a lot of :obviously: stuff (MJR more so than AJ)

I'm going to be ecstatic when Pillars sells more than Wasteland 2 in a shorter period of time.

Uh huh.

So were the other two. PoE was more efficient with its 29 months than the others, and it didn't make extreme changes at the last minute like D:OS.

So you admit PoE isn't the worst RPG ever. :)

Moreover New Vegas is #8 on the list http://www.rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=9453 so you're saying PoE is a top ten role playing game.
