Dude, go outside, have a drink with some friends, break a couple of laws, and hook up with a barely decent-looking girl. You taking this internets shit a little too seriously.
You call this seriously? I take great pride in the fact that I never made one single review on the Codex or a LP. That's really moderate as far as I'm concerned. I have a good life, by the way, but thank you for the concern.

Oh wow, 2015 really, damn, what a difference.
Three additional years in the Codex is a lifetime.

Woah, a competition to see who has been mentally deranged for longer.
Prestigious.

Lol he got a new word instead of "grogs". Guess grognards was too harsh and PR adviced against it's usage?

You know, I really don't care about deviations from tradition. What I care about is whether or not it really makes sense, and if the change is justified or if you are using the game as a playground for your pet ideas that end up being a lot worse than established ideas that have been tested and are known to work.

But that's just me.

Yeah, I get the feeling that Josh completely misunderstand "traditionalists". I don't think many people would have minded meddling with the potion system.
It wouldn't even irk me so much if he was consistent. But he uses "traditionalists" as a shitty excuse for not doing something, and then completely disregards their opinion when it comes to shitting on the rest of the game systems.

I don't think the tradition argument has much weight anymore, now that they've fundamentally changed several things like per-rest spells, party size, etc.

Would it really matter if potions were changed now that they've changed several other things, and the game is even further distanced from the standards of the IE games ? I don't think so. I doubt anyone would be any angrier about the potions than they were at the other changes.

Like does he really honestly believe that potions are a bigger no-no than casting system, party size and attributes? He's either stupid or disingenuous.

Changing everything to per-encouter: "It's a risk we can take".

Changing how potions work: "Fuck. We can't. What will the traditionalists think?"

This is my second account. I actually joined in Jan 21, 2015, child.

You fucking do it again! You know what? Fuck it, you can believe in any fairy tale you want, just let me warn you. If you spend time in company of "connoisseurs" (many of those guys just arrogant people with high self-esteem) a LONG time, your OWN vision of situation can fade away with you ability to your own analysis and rational thinking. God DAMN IT! You already lose yourself, just look at your messages. You already denying that our experience in gaming can be similar, just because we have 2 years difference on forum! And you talking to me like a elder! And in your opinion I should respect you? Something is really wrong with you.

For example: Muscle Wizards was clearly a pet idea that made little if any sense. I hated it because it made no sense, was nothing like Baldur's Gate (*cough* entire selling point o the kickstarter *cough*) and because it just didn't seem fun to play.

You can already make a muscle wizard in D&D if you really want to and it's far more consistent, so I can't fathom any real reason to mess with it beyond obstinate self-gratification.

There is no more strategic resource management in PoE - might as well go full Tranny and make everything a cooldown or per encounter.

Is there a big version of the map in the scavenger hunt anywhere?

Reading is not that bad! I honestly prefer reading and I invent the emotions and voices inside my head.

I'm sorry but not everyone is dramatic and stupid as you.
Wow that comment made me really angry for some reason - maybe its because it kinda confirms that the future will just be entertainment beamed directly into the minds of drooling unimaginative masses.

I admire the blissful ignorance of retarded kids running around the internet. It must be making life so easy. I myself have forgotten what it's like.

To call people who would rather use their imagination "dramatic ans stupid".

Or to take one allegation, lacking context, lacking details, and pronounce that one man who has known another for over 20 years wanted to take advantage of a relative's serious health condition in order to gag him and prevent him from working for the competition. And you take that allegation as fact, not knowing any specifics, and start waving it around. How naive and guillable does that make you?

And to top it off, there is the news man, who either doesn't care, or lacks the balls, to explain that when you hear person A say something happened, what you know is not that something happened, but merely that person A said it happened. There are allegations and there are facts, and they are two different things. It doesn't take to be a great journalist or historian to know the difference, but it is a minimum requirement for being either.

Oh the usual "I want to use my imagination and make up the emotions" bullshit. Are you people mental? Are you LARPing out those scenes in your head?

The silent protagonist is much more important to have, because that is actually your unique character, so it is logical for that to be silent and imagine his/her voice. And that is untouched AFAIK. But other NPCs in the world are established characters, who actually shouldn't be silent. The creator of those characters know what they should sound like, so actually it makes sense to have them voiced.

Now that being said, I also don't support full VO in a text heavy game like this, but for other reasons. I don't like it because I have to read a lot in the game, and it is much faster to read than to listen the VO of every character. Of course I can skip the VO, but in that case what is the point of having it.

Meh. Voice acting is dumb for one specific reason : It's disturbing to read in an another langage when you heard english.
But you are right, books should be burnt and remplace by audio books.

Not at all. I just want to emphasize how fake news and rumors emerge. It was truly regretful, in my opinion, that we had to see the airing of dirty laundry, don't you agree, and especially by someone we all respect greatly? And it was inevitable that it would lead to further interpretations and legends, like it has.
