So is it pretty easy to import portraits?
There's supposed to be built-in import functionality for the main PC. Story companions have their own preset portraits that (right now) no one knows how to change. I guess if you fill out your party with guys from the Adventurers' Hall, you can custom them as well.

New deliciously cheesy tactic

Let me guess, you cast Withdraw.
Obviously. The A.I. is intelligent enough to not bother with a Withdrawed character, so you need Tanglefoot + the stunning effect of the storms to keep the enemies around you. The Druid's own Beetle's Shell might actually be a better choice since enemies will attack the shell to try to break it and the other party members can just pelt them with ranged attacks while they try to do.

I hope if there is a demand paradox will do retail copies, it'll be great to see a game like this in stores. Even better if it had a manual and map.

You can say it this way or the other: Baldur´s Gate is back! From the look of the game, the feeling when playing, the customization of your characters, the interaction withe them and the environment - everythinfg feeld like Baldur´s Gate - and plays like it. It´s the great old-school RPG all bakers - and not only them - waited a decade for. Fantastic, deep gameplay, tactical pausable combat and many many loot to ind.
I can just say: love it. And recommend it everyone who only slightly loves deep and richt group RpGs, where tactical combat is more important than fast clicking in 1st person view!

looks legit as fuck, if you ask me

IG: You mentioned the difficulty settings… it’s already been said that the hardest difficult settings are fiendishly difficult, to the point that no-one in testing has been able to beat them.
JS
: We did have someone in QA who was able to do it with exploits, but we fixed him. It is very hard. If players are used to games like Baldur’s Gate II and they’re fresh, like they’ve played them recently, then they can probably play on hard. If it’s been a while since they’ve played an Infinity Engine game, they should probably start on normal.

Hmmm...

Wonder if there's some kind of difficulty brick wall after the first Act or something.

Everything I've seen so far before the end of embargo really point toward Normal being cake and Hard being somewhat cake, and that's with people with no back beta experience and no real idea of what's going on overall usually. Still gonna go with PotD straight from the start but makes you wonder...
