Steam Store entry now correctly states that PoE has dev commentary and Steam trading cards.

They definitely have a different SKU for the beta key - it was a talking point I paid attention to at the time as I was planning on getting a GOG key but I wanted to try the beta. Might just get a steam key now though since GOG Galaxy ("steam"-like autopatching client) is taking forever.

RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In
According to /v/ you can already download a manual somewhere and it's outdated as fuck. Stuff like duration of abilities being tied to something other than inteligence etc.

WHERE D KEYS @

According to BAdler on Obsidian forums:

BAdler, on 24 Mar 2015 - 8:29 PM (EST), said:

I told Steam to start the preloading. We are going to be giving backers keys in the next few hours and if we didn't tell them to enable preloading we wouldn't have been able to enable it until tomorrow.

They can't control when Steam updates their servers, but I guess this may calm down some people.

Anthony Davis, will you also post youtube version of your stream for non Twitch viewers?

I'm not sure how to do that. I know there's an export option on Twitch - I can try that, but last time it didn't work. I'll try it again.

Thanks a lot.
I just found out, that I can download your videos via TwitchTools. Besides the Twitch exporter, the blogger here also likes to use these tools when uploading to youtube:

But I don't know whether that helps, knowing next to nothing about twitch videos...

Easy: small easy encounters and you take 50% damage from enemies. Max supplies is 6.
Normal: normal encounters and you take 75% damage from enemies. Max supplies is 4.
Hard: harder encounters and you take full damage from enemies. Max supplies is 2.
Path of the Damned: complete encounters (max possible from all difficulty settings), you take 100% damage and enemies have +15ACC/DEF as well as slightly boosted Endurance. Max supplies is 2.
Unless this was changed for release, this is bogus. Only Path of the Damned changes enemy stats, the other difficulties change what kind of enemies you face and how many of them.

How he described it - this is how it is in the code as of v480.
That's interesting... So you take half damage from everything (monsters, traps) on easy difficulty compared to hard?

It must be something they added in after that mock review they got.
I was just told by some anon in /v/ (bugsidian employee?) that the damage reduction only applied to traps's friendly fire, not all combat damage.

I checked it in game by injecting a simple print message, and it seems like he's right. There's no damage reduction in combat for different difficulties.

So will my "DRM Free" collector's box have a key which is activatable on Steam or GOG, or is it a separate entity completely, with patches needing to be downloaded from Obsidian's website?

Wondering whether to activate my digital copy on Steam (for the preload & autopatching & DLC/expansion management) or GOG (for the DRM free download later).

badler ?

It's supposed to be a disc with an actual full game installer.

I asked awhile ago, and they said they'd probably be putting patches in the backer portal. Haven't seen an update on this recently.

The way I have seen it described is that the disc is entirely separate. This pleases me greatly.
