there's quite literally a neverending amount of them
There's not an infinite amount of gold, so no. It's the same reason people dying isn't a plothole because raise dead exists. 6000 gold ain't a lot, but it's a lot if you try to save everyone.
"Sure, we might all be horribly tortured and murdered by demons if we do nothing... but we'll only help if you pay us."
Sound logic.
Again dude, the war has been at a standstill for a 100 years. Odds are you'll die of old age long before the worldwound becomes a personal problem.
"Sure, my children might all be horribly tortured and murdered by demons i f I do nothing... but I must be paid to help."
Mercenaries make no sense when they have just as much at stake as the player character.

I think there is literally 1(one) important decision in all crusade system - when council asks which archers you want chose marksmen.
I was thinking about it, but what bothers me is their HP. Aren't such stacks going to be one-shoted by enemy spell-caster and enemy general casting spells?

No they don't, just like people in real world don't care about stuff that is happening on other side of the planet or even closer. When ISIS was creating chaos in middle east you didn't see volunteers from all over the world going there to help fight them. To most people of this magical world, something like a Worldwound is a far away problem that is not theirs.

There were volunteers from all over the world who fought for ISIS, though. Which kind of points to a regime that is, actually, by the people and for the people. At least for some people.

I am role playing a Kineticist who wants the tour to the Worldwound to increase his personal power, because this is the only place on Golarion with direct connection to another plane. Even "the thin places" like the Stolen Lands are much less stable.

And Worldwound is full of people that came there to become cultists. Which is what happened with ISIS. While only ones fighting vs ISIS were militaries or organized mercenary groups, just like in WotR. Yea, you run into few loners here and there but they are an exception, not the rule.

Current UI for spells and hotkey bars are very subpar for full casters and especially for those that like to metamagic a lot. Anyone knows a good mod that makes that better?
Didn't find any :( Though something remotely useful towards your needs might be in these two:

https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/137
https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/8
Tnx for links, I clicked on both but I don't see how any of those help.
We need a mod that either gives us more bars on the left with empty fields to put spells in or some overhaul that gives us a NWN2 type spell UI where all you get is small icons next to each other and you can see it all at once.

EDIT:
I found this: https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/202?tab=files
Not exactly what I wanted but I need to try it.
Let me quote myself to add that I tried this mod yesterday and while it is useful it is very unfinished and lacks a lot of features that would let it completely replace hotbars (at least for spells). It mosty lacks QoL features, I am even thinking of uninstalling it for the time, some stuff about it is very irritating, like how while you can hide it , shortcut is ctrl+z and cannot be changed, even while it is minimized it is a big box that cannot be placed anywhere but its position is connected with position of full size UI, how it auto-maximizes itself on each screen load instead of remembering last state you left it at.
And then there are problems like you don't have a clue what metamagic is applied to spells because all info you get is name of spell, its level and I think its DC value. Also you don't know if you can cast the spell or not (like in normal hotbar spells become gray if you cannot cast them and others stay light if they are allowed (like for example quicken or non metamagic for spontaneous casters that moved). And spells you cast are removed from the list which means you cannot use that UI to bring them back with Bound Object ability. Also the additional sub-screen that gives you a list of modifiers for spells is hard to close if you don't choose anything from it.

I kind of went around it by putting all my metamagic spells into game's hotbars on the bottom and long lasting buffs into bar on the left and rest I am casting from this UI. Another option is to still fill hotbars with as many spells as you want starting from lower ones and then use this UI to just use high levels spells (as it does sort spells into spell levels).

The whole build-up in Chilly Creek was just for that? Oh wow.

:rpgcodex:

(Boy, I feel stupid for scouting the entire lcoation with True Seeing in act 3, just to make sure I'm not missing some ancient evil.)

Right? They should've led with the hags. As it stands, the whole chilly creek arc consists of you going there to see a hydra ragdoll, forgetting about the whole place for the whole game and then mopping the floor with 3 horrifically unthreatening casters. The game usually does a good job with long-term arcs but some dev fell asleep at the wheel on this one. You don't even get good loot.

ISIS was notorious for attracting people to fight FOR them though.

There's something extremly neat and enjoyable of playing this game as low level character trying to save Kenabres early game. It's probably one the best part of the game together with ACTIII.

Act II > Act III > ACTV > ACT IV > ACT I.

If ACT IV wasn't so laggy and there wasn't so many annoying fights, i would rank higher than ACT V but ACTV at least has less annoying fights and you got almost all Mythic Power at that point.

The plotline needed to wrap up in act3. A small village and 3 hags is not appropriate for a level 20 character to deal with. And the mystery of "how can this village withstand the corruption" stops being interesting/relevant once you know you're close to just ending the worldwound entirely.

See, demons are for the people as well, and the queen is an oppressor.

Alushyshyshyhshynirir really undercuts it's own gimmick by giving you fast travel almost immediately. Aside from that, I feel like there was a lot of missed potential with the city's art design. Compared to something like Sigil in PST, Aluminiumshshsyshys just looks a bit purple, the slums are just square iraqi mud huts (some unfortunate cultural implications there) and at that point the entire broken floors and canyons visual is played out. It just doesn't really look or feel otherworldly enough. To add insult to injury, Willodus' mansion could've been a great surreal dungeon but it's just a text adventure. I also find it weird conceptually that demons, the embodiment of chaos and disorder are capable of forming something as coherent as an urban settlement but that's a problem with the setting and not the game.

Having said that for me it's 3 > 2 > 4 > 5 = 1 > 6 because 3 is where most of the game's meat went, 2 because Kenabres is a very good and unique starting area, 4 because it's overall a bit of a letdown, 1 and 5 because they're boring and 6 because the assault on Threshold absolutely sucks.

Well Demons are physical embodiment of pure chaos and freedom. They are for all people that feel that is how the world should work.

What mythic path would fit a typical mercenary type, fighter/barbarian? Not evil, but not fully good either, mostly in it for the cash and adventure. And I don't mean gameplay, just wondering what would fit it character-wise so I don't go full OCD 30 hours later when I realize I have picked wrong path that does not fit him at all ?

Both Azata and Trickster fit imho, you can also become legend after.

Say, is Arushalae supposed to be slavic? Her phenotype is vaguely asiatic if you catch my drift. Doesn't look germanic at any rate. Come to think of it, Camellia looks asian as well. Nenio too but she is intentionally Korean looking right? I think the devs have a type.

Everybody knows the best women are Slavic.

Strongly agreed. My ex girlfriend had Russian and Ukraine ancestry and she was gorgeous. Slavic woman are also less infected by feminism.

------

Back to the game, anyone has a good tutorial on how to mod mythic paths? I tried to read some codes of some mods but could't figure out.

And so Camellia gets killed again, this time by a very cool 269 dmg crit.

Neat reactivity on my PC being a halfling so far by the way. Only a couple of dialogue options but I get a squad of 27 halfling slingers and they're pretty good too. There's also a nice amount of reactivity regarding your PC's choice of deity.

I also like how it seems that every mythic path has a different equally valid reason to go to Areelu's lab. For lich it was because there was a crystal there that interfered with the ritual, now for angel I'm supposed to go there to bust out Targona. They could've very easily made the mythic paths the same storyline wise and just swap out the mentor figures, with each of them telling you to get the crystal so I commend the devs for actually putting in more effort than that. Looking forward to what the rest has in store. Don't tell me tho pls.

I am doing Trickster atm and its reason is hilarious and again different than these two.

Idk who was asking here - Arueshalae's face shows a not-profoundly-pronounced mixture of Romanian, Ukrainian / Russian and a bit of something foreign to the East - maybe German - not really sure what that foreign part is. I'd say, her features are harder to determine because all of that.
