Man I spent 160 hours with the gaming until the final Act, and now after I got Gold Dragon transformation, I don't want to play anymore. This game's biggest problem is the lack of enemy variety, not in the number of different enemies you fight, but thematically. It feels like you are ONLY fighting demons. In the beginning it's a bit more varied as you fight spiders, cultists, demons and dragons, but by the end of the game 95% of all encounters are against demons, and mostly against the 3-4 major demon types. What a let down.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Serpent in the Staglands Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
I know these fantasy settings are made by people dreaming of a non silent god however it annoys me:

Clearly demons and hell are things that really exist. And everyone knows this. So why are people still making deals with devils and doing evil stuff when they know they'll burn in the Abyss for it?!

Same problem as the Dead Three in the Forgotten Realms. Why would any expansive organization or church bother worshipping a deity whose entire portfolio is limited to murder? Even the Norse didn't worship Loki, or if they did, barely, and the overwhelming majority of Ancient Greeks actively avoided mentioning the names of their gods of death. People don't really have much interest in deities associated with madness, trickery, and death.

But the answer is that mortal cultists in Golarion think they know the system well enough that they're going to be the ones holding the pitchfork in the afterlife and followers of Dead Three in the Realms think they're the ones who are going to be holding the knife, and in fairness, simply possessing the will to murder in a world/society that works according to the logic the Realms (fantastically and incoherently) can get you pretty far up the social ladder. If you also end up serving in some of middle management role in the Hells/Abyss then the package can sound at least superficially attractive, especially to the desperate and miserable.

It doesn't help that the 'good' deities have extremely relaxed standards in their followers. Hulrun burned innocents like Ember and her father (the latter to death) with no evidence and remains a high ranking church official in good standing with both his church and Iomandae, Galfrey functionally sent her best officer on a suicide mission at least partly out of jealousy and insecurity and remains an un-fallen Paladin, etc.

Cults have a pretty firm basis for propaganda in the worlds of Golarion and the Realms.

Is it possible to turn off specific DLCs? I bought Season Pass 2 for Dance of Masks and some later game content, but the griffin faggot is ruining it for me. He appeared out of nowhere and none of it makes sense.

I never tried this with Pathfinder, but right click on the game in Steam > Properties > DLC > uncheck the DLCs you don't want.

Is it worth dicking around doing stuff before going to Drezen? Everything is ready, but the game says some content will be unavailable, I'm guess it means the quests that can only be done in this chapter. Or are there areas where I won't be able to go after taking Drezen?
Also
Are they fucking serious that I can't just execute or tell anyone abour Nurah after finding the bug pheromone among her stuff? Yeah, I know, I need to have passed more perception checks, but for example an evil character would execute her based on that alone and even a good character would tell Anevia imo.

The only things that must be completed in chapter 2 are Seelah's and Sosiel's companion quests, and recruiting Regill. I do not think it is likely you have skipped the first 2 so just make sure you have dealt with the gargoyles.

You are a RT enjoyer right? How would you compare RT to this game?
I've played RT first and had a blast so I bought both Pathfinder games thinking they would be the same kino but Kingmaker disappointed me.
Is Wrath of the Righteous worth playing with that in mind?

I liked it more than RT, Kingmaker is the weakest game out of the 3.

They are not easily comparable. I think Wrath is worthwhile, Kingmaker is not, and RT is the best game Owlcat has made so far, largely due to them doubling down on the strengths of the 40K.

Soooo... I was recently seeing some video snippets about this game. I have to say the graphics and all the many cool different monsters left a positive impression on me. It looked a lot like a modern BG2.

Sadly I still hesitate to download because it's RTWP and I heard the writing is so terribad. What should I do? Is it worth a try anyway?

Writing is bad but not terribad. Terribad would be stuff like Veilguard. The main reason for playing this game is the combat, don't buy it for any other reason.

I would advise you to buy Kingmaker before WOTR though cause WOTR is made mostly for people who have completed Kingmaker and are familiar with the PF1E system. It is also difficult to play Kingmaker after playing WOTR, since it is a simpler game, and Kingmaker is still a game worth experiencing.

It has TB mode that you can switch on/off on the fly, and the game is much better than Kingmaker in every way. Writing is serviceable, the highlights are companions.

Kingmaker has better writing, exploration is also way better. Companions are also way better than in WOTR. And more importantly you fight a variety of enemies rather than all demons like in WOTR. WOTR does have the advantage of not having the really dragged out dungeons of Kingmaker so while its highs are not as good as Kingmaker's, its lows are also not as bad.

When WotR came out, I thought it has the worst writing I've ever experienced in a game. Then BG3 came out, and people here started saying how WotR is now acceptable because BG3 is even more woke. And now we have Veilguard, so somehow BG3 is considered decent. You're all being brainwashed, step by step. When Mass Effect 4 comes out, you'll say that Veilguard is 'not that bad, just try it bro, ME4 is way worse.'

Kingmaker is the best game Owlcat has released so far, and will remain so for a long time.

There's no way WotR has worse writing than Biocrap that used to come out years before it, and the second half of Kingmaker was tedious slog, not helped by awful repetitive KM. Kingmaker is one of the RPGs I don't see myself ever replaying again. Didn't play BG3 or Trannyguard, miss me with your slippery slope bullshit.

I've been playing the game for 60 hours now, I'm in the middle of act 3, the writing has been fine for the most part and I think in some parts it's really good. Then again when that Gryphon companion DLC kicked in, that was a huge low point, but that DLC (The Last Sarkorians) can be easily turned off.
I also recommend you play Kingmaker too, although the second half of it is not as great, but aside from one very annoying dungeon even that part is okay and the ending makes it worth it. Kingdom management is annoying though, but you can turn that off or set it to easy. You can do the same thing with crusade mode in WOTR.

hm yeah Kingmaker I actually got ready installed. Would be easy to try that out. I don't expect some A tier artistic writing in my rpg's, I just want it not to be in the way of the gameplay and so cringe and long winded you can't enjoy the actual game. Actually the less writing the better

How's Tower Shield Specialist or the new Hearth Fighter on Unfair, preferably pure? I want to make a heavy armor tank, but I remember that it wasn't very good.
I haven't played since release. Gonna use TTT too.

I wouldn't use either of them on unfair. Hearth is especially kinda useless until the level 20 capstone.

Note that the mythic heavy armor feats are various forms of useless. One lets you replace your dex bonus to armor with half your strength bonus (which makes the +max dex bonus from the class wasted), another adds damage from heavy armor but it doesn't bypass DR like your weapon does so it kinda sucks against anything relevant.

I haven't played this in quite awhile and had been thinking of getting back into it. The prerequisite for that feat isn't fighter class, or at least not base fighter, is it? Not every heavy armour wearing class gets +dex bonus armour training. In fact, most of them don't, and that feat could be quite good on the others if it works properly and isn't also capped by the max dex modifier.

So the shield block from the Hearth fighter is that bad? Even if I stack AC and hope to only get hit once or twice in a round?
What's a good class for a sword+board tank, than? I'll use armor, because I fucking hate the robe tanks.
