How much dex is reasonable for a warrior by end game?

I'm wondering how you would even accommodate Giant's Blood strength requirements considering I still miss even at 100% accuracy. I think you'd need at least 300 strength to accommodate a 2 hander with 3x strength requirements late game, which is a hefty budget.

Actually, I just realized, there is a node for accuracy rating based on strength, but it's weirdly deeply nested in the ranger or merc tree. I wonder if it would make more sense to spec into the node to make evasion impossible in favor of losing crits.

Until you get good gear you just pick resolute tehnique node.

Does it say 100% / 100% or 100% and less than 100% in the 'hit against evasive monsters' column?

He said he misses with 100% accuracy (unless he means the ranged part of sunder which has some sort of accuracy tapering off with distance), it's probably something else than simply missing according to the game rules (positioning / rubberbanding maybe?). I remember I was consistently missing with boneshatter while leveling and believed it to be positioning errors on my part, but then they've said it was a bug (and I've dropped boneshatter at that time so couldn't really check)

Into cruel now with my SSF Titan and I just love the feeling of the class. The big FUCK YOU swings, the Perfect Strike heavy stuns that punch the mob into the ground and so on - I have honestly not played a melee character as fun as this since Dark Souls 1 strength build.

With that said, Stampede and Leap are clunky. I think it's because they have some sort of wind down timer that basically freeze your character in place. The smoothest heavy stun primer to play is still Rolling Slam.

After the armor explode nerf I'll try to build towards stampede>ignite and see how that goes.

There's some weird interaction with hitboxes and swing angles. It's especially obvious for Perfect Strike or against small shitty mobs.

As for STR stacking it's not that bad. I have almost 300 at level 48.

But this does need STR on gear which pretty much pushes you into Resolute Technique at least early on before you can get some really juicy gear.

speaking of ghost writhe, if you take CI, you gain ES from life before your life becomes 1. I wonder if it will be same for infernalist life reservation? Demon Stitchers do not kill you while you have CI, you just dont gain ES per cast

I saw a unique item with giant's blood, but that one had a 2x not 3x requirement I believe.

I've finally got my Essence Drain Infernalist into maps and it is a pain due to low damage of this crap skill. I respeced out of Demon Form because it is also a cancer gameplay of needing to rush everything because your life always keeps ticking down and you upkeep it by getting life on kills and getting charges for your life flask (and very good gear but for that you need trade and I am not trading for gear yet). Then I also respeced out of MoM and EB as you are so often without mana because everyone hits like a truck and it is not fun to always fuck with that around while dodging shit. So now I just picked up % of damage goes into mana instead of life nodes (got 24% for now, 34% is most you can get from the tree but that node is kind of far away) and still using node that gives me 3% inc spell damage per 100 mana. Got the 53% increased Chaos damage node and damage increase is noticeable but that node also reduces your ES by 3% every time I cast a chaos spell which also stops ES regeneration so basically I am out of ES most of the time as soon as combat lasts longer than 10s even if I am not getting hit.
As a result I got 1300 life, 1100 mana, 800 ES (that is often 0 instead) and around 30% dodge. I am using Withering Presence, SRS (for Maim, Envenom and bonus damage that I lack) and Frost armor with freezing supports (for those that manage to hit me in melee) for Buffs.
For DPS I got Firewall to summon SRS and put enemies on fire so a damage support for ED can boost it (tried to use just Fire Dog but his ignite aura is short range), ED with 2 damage supports and Chain and Contagion with Unleash and Hinder and Chaotic Freeze. Wither Totem with withering support to help kill rares and uniques faster (for normal enemies Withering Presence it usually enough) and Curse that reduces enemy chaos res for boss battles or rares with regenerating life feature (as normal dps cannot outdamage that shit..)
And Bone Cage with bonus damage and bonus pinning support so I can stop melee enemies that do not jump but walk towards me.

I got a +3 all spell skills and 75% inc spell damage wand and ES shield that gives me a bunch of mana and increased fire damage. Since I am not trading I consider this good. I waited for both of these to drop before I removed Demon Form.

This below video is good show how bad ED is, this is before ED buff but considering he has a 5l and bigger level ED skill gem his kill speed for this boss is about same as mine now after the "buff". Lol 33% damage only buff.

The hitboxes do seem pretty fucked up. I wiff all the time with 100℅ accuracy, and indeed I do suspect its mostly hitboxes, but on occasion I'm standing still and missing every third strike.

The 100℅ accuracy no crit node does seem like a decent compromise in and of itself, but it also makes RNG even more hellish than it already is, since you have to treat accuracy, critical strike chance, crit damage, and dexterity as completely useless at that point.

The str to accuracy node does seem like a solid idea actually. I'd have to respec pretty much the whole damn tree, though.

That & the edgy character quips will surely make up for shortcomings this shoddy D2 fanfic so desperately needs.

Maybe go gritty next time(?) with items that can break.

What is the bonus to delay of recharge on energy shields a percentage of?

The only numbers the system shows that I can see is that it takes about 4 seconds for shields to begin and your percentage (in a tooltip). Well, I am at 130% and it still takes a bit of time to start recharging, so it isn't a percentage of that 4 seconds. It doesn't even translate that 130% into the actual number of seconds it takes to begin recharging anywhere that I can see on the character sheet.

Edit: Found the formula:
recharge_delay = 4 seconds / (1 + delay_modifier%)

So you get diminishing returns. 100% is 2 seconds, 300% is needed for 1 second, and 700% is half a second.

Probably not gonna focus on bumping that number too much higher then, not unless I just don't have any other nodes worth picking.

I'm still so annoyed at two things.

You can respect your entire tree, but you can't respect your ascendancy. Second, each ascendancy is filled with dogwater that forces you into a specific playstyle or waste points that can only be used in that tree, right?

What if I don't want to use faggy totems and slams?

No provision.

Then when third ascendancy is released, there's no way to switch other than reroll?

Finally, the weird Torghast style rogue like retarded game mode where you have to get the ascendancy where you have a separate health bar and game mechanics. Just....why? Fuck off with this. There's already a robust and well developed set of game mechanics, I dont want this. Just make it an optional game mode. Same shit with Torghast, you literally had to do it. I remember falling asleep, literally, nodding off and passing out trying to finish Torghast for my chores before weekly reset. Kill it with fire, its early access, this garbage shouldn't make it to full retail release.

Feeling like playing Witch for my first playthrough while I am not particularly versed in ARPGs or minion classes. Will I suffer?

At least what I'm reading online, you can't respec ascendancy

Can ascendancy skill points be freely spent like regular skill points, or am I forced to spec into their garbage prebuilt?

You can respec Ascendancy points for gold, but not the class in itself (eg. go from Titan to Warbringer).

Yes, it costs something like (or actually) 5x the cost of respecing regular talent points. I didn't realize how it worked and what the limit on points were at first, so had originally speced as if the entire tree would eventually fill out. Needed to rearrange it once I realized what the actual way it worked was.

Can I use ascendancy points like regular skill points, or do I HAVE to use them in the ascendancy tree?

I got destroyed by the Viper boss in act 3. My only source of chaos Res is a petty ring with 8%.
