Picked up some various stash tabs on sale. I can see how this could become expensive if you're an OCD packrat like me.
Ok I'll just put in 10$. 20$? Why not just upgrade to 60$, I get tabs and skins on top for the same price. Everything I'll ever need. What a steal!

Few years later, lemme see how much I spent on stash tabs. Can't be that much, I never buy skins. Oh just 350$? Might as well get some more to round it off.

I picked up my EA bux worth of stuff then I was like: Well, maybe I should just bump up a tier or so and then I could also pick up this other shit and colour code all this stuff and have it organized like the rest of my life because as I always tell my wife, bag organization is a hugely important part of RPGs and you should always try to tidy your bags before you log out otherwise you come back to chaos!

I need help. :negative:

Unless you play in long sessions you're going to be overleveled anyway due to boss respawns and searching for stuff in the areas.

Bosses don't respawn on death, only on reset. So you can't farm them reliably.
The mobs respawn only because Dark Souls did it that way, there is zero design reason behind it. You died coz you were not ready for that zone!!! No matter you are 5 levels above the zone, but was stunned while your 3 seconds attack was just winding down so you dogged into an exploding loctus and your 1500 HP character was one-shot. Also it's so funny to read retards just a week ago complaining about one-shots in PoE (something that is no longer present for at least a year), praise PoE 2 where they happen 10 times more often. It's like poetry, it rhymes.
On a possitive note, the pause is a godsend and it should be priority number one for future PoE updates.

Seeing as how people are pushing tier 11+ maps, I'd say it's a skill issue, BlackAdderBG

What are you even talking about, what does maps have anything to do with my comment? If you die in a map that map is gone, mobs respawn is about campaign.

Oh, sorry, I was thinking about someone/something else and thought it was you, lol.

You are forgiven.

Another thing that is bad design and I see them change it is the one type of support per character. That shit is so bad with limiting build variety and puts GGG in a position where if they don't change it there will be need for way, way more supports to be created. Why can't I put a 200% Stun threshold support (Unstoppable) in more than one skill? The tradeoff is already baked in the socket limit and using one of the five for some utility is a good choice to have. I understand that you can have the problem of +Damage on all skills, but that is not really true for PoE2. There are clearly skills that are pure utility and set ups so you naturally don't want to put damage supports anyway on top of the fact that they removed 90% of them. The other problem is that there is no useful supports for any of the skills that are not designed for direct damage, you end up not putting more than 2 supports even if you want as there are skills that don't even have 5 usable supports, like the Invoker Avatar has max 4 supports.

The solution as I see it is to pick the ones that they think are problematic to be spammed and put them in the already created 3 tiers of gems. So the first tier can be used freely, the second tier only 2 per character and the 3th tier one use only. It becomes kind of convoluted maybe (not that it's not already) so they should just remove the restriction and see what people abuse and act according to that.

I even saw a guy that is pushing Chaos "DoT" build into T13 and doing well. "DoT" because he is doing hexblast with poison support so it is technically DoT but DoT part is only a smaller part of his damage.

I meant mobs respawning when killing a boss. You clear the level, get to a boss on a side, then have to reclear if there are other quests or didn't get waypoint for next zone. I don't even know if it's intended or some bug tbh...

The respawning mobs on death thing isn't even good design in soulslikes, so I agree that it's a weird choice.

Yeah but that didn't puzzle me cause I knew souls was to blame for it. Whatever, just another shit decision on top of a pile...

Ah yeah, that is annoying too, maybe it's a problem with the checkpoint states or other technical issue. I can not imagine on how many shrooms Jonathan must have been to make such retarded decision on purpose.

Yeah, they need to do something about this. It really railroads you into certain choices. But I suspect they plan to fix this by adding more skill gems rather than more systematic fixes.

They really have to work on the skill game interfaces btw., especially when they inevitably add more. Minimum should be more options to filter the complete gem list (such as by what they support/are supported by).

The window that opens when you click an uncut support gem lacks a list of skills that are supported by each.
For support gems that are already "cut", there's an mouse-over list of supported skill gems, but it does not contain skills granted by items or other gems.

:/

Yeah it's a bit weird. You can click on a skill you have equipped and then see the entire listing of support gems it can take, but first you have to uncheck "show recommended". Then you can filter by support gem colour if you want or search for the attribute you're looking for. It's pretty clunky though.

I'm apparently blind, I never saw a checkbox. I'll need to check this later.

Anyways, they need to fix that interface. :argh:

Don't feel too bad, I was in Act 2 before I noticed it. Then I was pissy because I had subpar support gems because many of the "recommended" options are retarded.

They need to have a menu with all the gems in one place so you can search keywords for all. Now you can only see all the gems for each type (skills, spirit and support) and only if you try to cut them. I pretty much made all skills and put them in my stash for easy search.

many of the "recommended" options are retarded

I disagree about supports, most of them are pretty much all you can get without either knowing exactly what you are doing or you will end up with very inefficient setup. The problem is for the spirit gems as some of the best are not recommended.

Another thing that I love they did is removing deterministic crafting. It's pretty obvious you can't have both types with random, as the deterministic one makes the random one irrelevant. Thank got they didn't remove only the crafting bench, but changed the essences too. I personally hate the bench as it makes rares in PoE pointless to pick from the ground. Deterministic crafting is designed for chink slop.

For anyone new to Path of Exile, use your points on stash tabs during the sale this weekend. They only happen once a month and they'll save you a bit on points.
n4T3tD8.png

In list of priority
Premium stash tab bundle (165 points for 6 premium tabs)
Currency tab (60 points)
Essence (30 points)
Delirium (30 points)
Total: 285 points ($28.50)
Nice to have:
Flask (30 points)
Gem stash (30 points)
Unique (110 points); skip this one if you want. Probably not too useful at this point in the game's lifespan.
Total: 170 points (+$17)

tl;dr - $30 pack which you probably bought for access gives you enough points for everything important. The $60 pack gets you everything currently in the game with leftovers for future tabs added to the game. Some will argue delirium isn't a mandatory purchase but you're gonna encounter them in some capacity at endgame so you might as well just pick it up. It's three dollars in points. Just grab it.

I personally don't ever use the flask and gem one. Other like unique, delirium and delve with the increase of stacking are pretty pointless. A must have are Currency and Premium Quad for PoE2 as of now and Currency, Premium Quad, Fragments, Essence, Divination and Maps in that order for PoE1. I can see the Map tab been utilized in PoE2 more with all the tablets for towers and shit, but for now there isn't one in PoE2. The gem one in its current form is a negative.

I got Currency, premium normal one (that I use to sell stuff) and Essence and Divination and Fragment ones from PoE1 on my Xbox account (I got more on my PC account that I have not used in years).
For 30E that I paid for PoE2 I was planning to grab Premium Quad and wait for whatever map tab will look like. If I start getting bombarded by Uniques I will get that one as well.

Now that I mention trading, trading in PoE2 is worse on Xbox than in PoE1 where Xbox had a kind of half auction house with market interface inside the game where you could send requests to buy items together with currency and other side could just click accept or reject and items/currency would get traded automatically without any of the go to hideout shit or needing to be online shit. But now they just force you to open trade side outside the game like all the PC peasants (except worse as Xbox browser is Edge crap with no adds blocker stuff). Also they do not even automatically log you in, do they really think Xbox players know their microsoft account passwords.. you do not need that shit to log into Xbox and PoE2.

I started leveling a Chronomancer Hammer of The Gods and I suspect part of the sluggish feeling base Warrior has is due to the animations of the male model. This one feels much more nimble and I love the meaty hammer swings, they remind me a lot of Dark Souls1 where you can really almost feel the inertia of the swings.

For what it's worth, I regret every quad I have on my account. It's nice as a dump tab but the item art is too small and in the context of Path of Exile 2 it's probably not worth having anymore, even for high volume trade. I'm almost considering emailing support to ask them to convert them all into 4 premiums.

I purchased eight stash tabs, one premium upgrade, currency, gems, essence, and delirium. Flasks didn't seem worth it, though I don't know. Enormous amount of space now, one tab per 12 potential classes. I'm ready to go for a while, bros.
