To argue that melee in POE1 is better than in POE2 is just making sure everyone treats you as fucking clown mate. POE1 has the worst melee from all arpgs and that just universally known truth by everyone. Even Grim Dawn with it's shitty autoattacks has more fun melee than POE1.
Had the worst melee, now PoE2 took the crown with a gimpier version of same shit gameplay.
With the skills you listed you aoe the screen down like you did in PoE1. That's the game, that's what they want from it gameplay wise. Braindead grind that feeds dopamine through borderline gambling. There's no way to spin it anymore.

I think this whole discussion is good but it is being done too early. Wait until next big balance patch (with league reset) and lets see in what direction they choose to take the game. Game is in a state where if they want they can go full zoom zoom in one league reset.
Base of PoE2 is not PoE1 5-7 years back, it is basically current day POE1 but with deliberate nerfs to powercreep that can as easily be released as it can be tightened.

I'd much rather they attempt to pull back damage scaling so that the endgame feels much more like the early acts of the campaign. My warrior actually seems to fit this curve, mostly. I'm still fighting things similar to how I did in the campaign, only there are far more enemies and rares have much more mods. It is interesting still at waypoint tier 13 with SSF shit. Though now I'm having to get choosey about waypoints that add extra enemy damage like 39% more damage as cold/lightning. Enemies that armor break are BS.

I didn't play PoE1 much so I'm not attached to previous mechanics. Stuff like Breach and Delirum don't fit a slower vision that well. Beginning those means immediate spawning of dozens of small enemies that surround the player, then rewards hinge on fast paced killing. My ranger and sorceress died immediately to breach while my warrior tolerated it due to armor. Rituals are alright but heavily depend on what enemies spawn and whether plants are spewing chaos balls at me the whole time.

They have all of early access to complete whatever their vision truly is so we'll see. Honestly loving the game though, with only half the campaign and half the classes even present.

copium. When POE1 barely scratches 200k it's native pure breed gronards but when POE2 blow the fuck out POE1 numbers AFTER 2 months as if new POE1 league was launched it's apparently bots.
No dude, the game is just SO GOOD that there's 150K REAL CCU every day. Just like Lost Ark had 500K 2 months after release. There's just no way a new online game would be the prime market for RMTers.

Because those are definitely real players and not chinese RMT currency farming bots you dumb fuck :lol:

No, the one that has more people willing to pay real money for currency would. PoE1 is only profitable in the early weeks of a league.
Not to mention the matter of anti-bot measures, which if you consider the security fuckups and overall state of the project so far are most likely a tertiary concern at this point.

glad early access did not cost 1000 dollars imagine the amount of bots if that was the case

also I would guess most of those bots are just spamming tradesite, no currency in grinding content

my ranger did hit 440m xp/h. Anyway I'm not happy with it. Offensive is great but defense sucks.

So i'm coming back to witch. While playtesting I found out something interesting: if you assign to weapon set 1 x minions and to 2nd set 0 of those minions, with 1st set having extra spirit -> if they die on quick double weapon swap you will summon some of those minions immediately. That allows me to upkeep poison clouds against bosses easilly with that crappy revival mechanics of poe2.

So yeah, witch got way lower offense but I like safety of 10k ES and minion meat shields.

Offense is not an issue anyway - corpse gass melts screens and extra poison stacks from pathfinder was lost. Either not needed or you couldnt keep up max stacks anyway.
Meanwhile witch doesnt need to traverse half of the tree so is maxing ES and picking half of minion life nodes.

well Atizi was the first fight I failed in poe1-2 after first attempt, reflect is kinda bullshit wasted first 3 portals suiciding on it (thought red rings got me at first)
then my whole build is now based on that kitava's helm so I had to try rest attempts pretty much without using helm and losing 95%+ of my dps
guess I skip it for now and prepare alternative single target setup for it later

its pretty hard to test some combos in ssf since you have limited amount of chromatic orbs so I had to re do my helm setup few times and takes quite orb spam for some specific combos
