X-Com: UFO Defence has not been assigned to anyone? I can write a review for that. Same goes for vanilla NWN2. I don't want to do MotB, someone more eloquent should do that. I can also do Shadowrun Returns.
Sure, you can take X-COM. I wanted to get Jake Solomon to do it, but he never replied me. Have you played the sequels and Open X-COM? I think those are worth a mention. For NWN2, are you familiar with various modules? I would like to recommend some on a infobox.

Regarding Showdorun Returns, let's wait for Dragonfall: Director's Cut to come out... it might be better to focus on it then the vanilla campaign.

Insert clever insult here
I was thinking that about Shadowrun - that Director's Cut might be the best version to review.

I know of few modules for NWN2 but I'm by no means an expert on them. I figured that since I have fairly neutral stance on NWN2 OC (and camera) plus I've played it quite a few times, I could do it.

I have played TFTD a lot but not much Apocalypse and the sequels after that are a mystery to me. I have played Open X-Com and some of the other clones.

It's cool, you can do both then. ;)

Can you do up to 5000 characters for X-COM, and up to 4000 for NWN2 (not counting mod recommendation) ?

Tuning in to say I haven't forgotten the Anachronox review. I've started it, though it's getting pretty big and it will definitely need a lot of revising and cutting down. I'll hopefully finish it before Cleve finishes Grimoire.

I fully intent to include Grimoire in the book, even if only the Super Demo. It's already bigger & better than many games out there.

:hmmm:

I've gone to work on Cthulhu Saves the World. Shouldn't be that long. I'll update the M&MVII review with the changes we discussed when I'm done with Cthulhu. Maybe I'll wait until you have an M&MVI review.

Since my GPU busted out a few days ago, I can no longer do anything with my Summoner review.
Unfortunately, I have to remove myself from the position of the reviewer of the game. Still, I hope someone will write it and give it a proper thought.
So, I am open to consult anyone about the lore or anything else, since I beat the first game and was around 60% through the second one when it all happened.
Good luck.

But Summoner 2 is just a curiosity, a footnote, since it only came out for consoles. All I need is your knowledge on Summoner 1.

I was replaying Summoner just for the review, but alright, I'll see what I can squeeze out of my memory, since I have some free time on my hands.

Yeah, I probably won the achievment for smallest article post ever made on Kotaku, and he didn't use any of the many awesome images I sent him, but it's ok. I've trying to get coverage for almost 5 months now, so I'll take anything with a smilling face.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Serpent in the Staglands Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Not sure any high profile RPG would be left at this juncture, but I could do Neverwinter Nights OC or any of its expansions. Must have played them a dozen times. Although they are rated low in the canon, I could talk about them from the eyes of a kid who had never experienced the magic of the genre before in light of subsequent experiences like Baldur's Gate II. Up until that point the only "RPGs" I had played were SNES Final Fantasies and the Zelda series. Bit of a fish out of water story of my pivot from console to PC. Since PC we had when my brother originally bought the game didn't work very well, I spent the first year doing nothing but building characters; eventually we found out how to make mods that gave us infinite experience. Also becoming acquainted with concepts like "expansion pack" and the wonder of playing an improved version of something I thought was perfect.

It would be limited by the fact that the little kid version of me never bothered with the multiplayer servers or unofficial content, as I was up to my eyeballs in Warcraft III and its custom maps.

There's also Nox, which is a similar sort of story as it was my first action-RPG (which I found looking for a NWN replacement) and I understood it better later in light of playing Diablo II. I'm not the best perspective on Westwood Studios though since its the only game of their's I've played.

Did the interview, was very fun. Will come out ou October 1st.

Also, I'm finishing a blog to post updates and serve as "front end" for the project. The forum is great, but some people just want to know WTF is going on, preferably via an RSS feed. Here it is, please give some feedback: https://crpgbook.wordpress.com/

Looks good.

I think the introductory page should be separate from the updates. Add more actual sample pics instead of links. Maybe also do a mockup of how the physical book will look.

Just reporting, that I'm still on my IWD2 review. I desperately want to finish replaying it before writing anything, but I've been finding it v. hard to find time for playing games recently (didn't play too much of Original Sin or Wasteland 2 either). Hopefully the next couple of weeks will be better.

It's very interesting to see the traffic that the blog is getting. Top two countries are Korea and Poland, and they published nice articles on it:

Sadly, google translator isn't able to handle Korean. But it's very funny what I get trying:

Google Translator said:

But my favorite mistranslation is:

ROTFL!

Tim Cain and Chris Avellone -> 팀 케인과 크리스 아벨론 -> Team Cain and Chris Abel Ron -> Team Cain and Abel, Ron, Chris

Google Translate is wonderful.
