I could even review it, once I get some free time. Problem is, that won't happen until late June.

A quick question regarding the character limit. How strict is the 4200 characters limit for a 2 page review? It is 4200 at max, and it is better to write a little less, or lets say if I write 4300, it is still managable?

Depends on the page layout, amount of screenshots, resoluton and all that... 4200 is a average number, but you can send me what you have and I'll see if I can fit more.

Looks good felipepepe !

I don't know how this looks on paper but in presentations I work often with a double hairline (white/black) as a frame:
Something like this: see pictures in the middle and to the right

I'm just curious, what will happen if there are games which nobody wants to review? Those will be left out?

No, felipepepe will keep tagging users and bringing it up until someone has mercy and writes an article on them.

I'll hunt them. I'll find them. I'll make them review.

But seriously, the internet is full of people writing walls of text on obscure games to micro blogs with 4 pageviews a month... I'll simply go after them individually. I.e., no one volunteered for Captive, but there's an entire fansite to it, and I've already contacted the webmaster.

Yeah, I see why you did that, covers that are white might blend with the background. I like the "clean" approach the frames kind of take too much attention, so I might try something else, like a watermark across the page, or a slightly different background color.

If nobody volunteers for Tron 2.0 and King Arthur, I can take them since I was the decliner who suggested them in the first place :smug:

I can write stuff for Roleplaying war game, I still remember it. I just wonder if simply create few web pages with info like that, and properly edited, wouldn't be better.

Also I have halfway finished review of XCOM. Though it looks like I'd finish it only when the first sentence would be written as: I wanted to do proper review with full of background info about company and previous games, then finished the game, and after a while I said: fuck that. That would be more effort than authors of that game did.

There are already many webpages for that, from metacritic to our Top 70 list, wikipedia, mobygames and all that... but there's no book, and books don't require monthly server fees.

I have sent in my first pass review to Felipepepe. 970 words. Nearly two pages of text in 12 point Times New Roman. Potential screenshots with caption text. (4 of them plus a header.)
Its about 5500 characters including spaces but this was my first pass at it.

I already have a gob of screenshots for Defender of the Crown which I hope might be allowed to go to two pages so I can talk about how it is a Dragon's Lair styled tech demo that is almost a game but was so mind blowing for its time it was a system seller.

(And then delve mostly into the C64 version which is still a technical marvel but is also MUCH more fun to play than the Amiga or ST versions.)

Its another good INTRO TO RPGS title though.

Hmm.. someone should cover Dandy Dungeon then, shouldn't they? (The spiritual prequel to Gauntlet.)

Hopefully some of my reviewer recommendations to CrookedBee or felipepepe will help so I don't have to cover Telengard or Apshai.

I'll do them if needed but others could do them a LOT more justice. (And there are a couple other games on that list I might want to see about.)

felipepepe, I have reviews for MMX, South Park and MM3 from my time as a "games journalist" that you could use. They might need some modifications, though. I'll email them to you later. :)

I'd be willing to try writing something for Warlords Battlecry if you didn't have any other plans for it. I haven't gotten around to beating the story yet but I've played it and the third one quite alot over the years. I'm going through the campaign now so I'm hoping to finish it in a month or two at least.
