I never had any DC problems in HotU. I also used a lot of Evard's Big Black Tentacles though. It ignores SR. Make sure you keep a Mordenkainen's Disjuction and some Spell Breaches memorized for a particularly high SR creature. You'd think Greater Spell Pen, Greater Focus, +8 Cha Bonus etc would be enough for Symbol of Stun to work reliably in HotU - Nope.
I suspect there might have been a bug with the PRC. Mass Command for example worked extremely well and on creatures I doubt it should (like Outsiders).I never had any DC problems in HotU. Left to right - vanilla NWN, mod wrap 0.5, mod wrap 1.0:Maybe it would be nice to get bigger screenshots for the shader. I certainly don't stare at the face of my character enough for it to matter.
I played a few levels of it and it was quite impressive what the devs managed to pull off on the platform, it's like a D&D-based Diablo 2 (except even more ambitious, what with its dynamic quest generation), but it would've needed a lot more time and staff to bring it to its full potential. As it stands, I'd say it's more of a playable proof-of-concept - fun to mess around with, but very rough in many implementations.Infinite Dungeons* was the best of the premiums in my opinion, it's only problem being the absurd gold amounts you accumulate and the ridiculous loot. If that were re-balanced it would be perfect. It's fun to run into things like harpies or hags as potential companions, for all the good they can be.
Only module that I know of which heavily uses RTS elements such as the ones you've described is Harvest of Souls. Haven't played it myself though, so my guess may be quite off.I am trying to remember the name of a series of mods. You would hop in and start or continue an ongoing war campaign composed of a series of large scale battles. You could control things such as the type of armies, which side you were on, mission objectives, etc. It saved after every battle and you went back to the hub to continue to the next objective. It was a good way to test builds against hordes of enemies, particularly with the good AI packs.
Should've played a Gnome with a higher INT bonus and gone with Illusion instead. You'd think Greater Spell Pen, Greater Focus, +8 Cha Bonus etc would be enough for Symbol of Stun to work reliably in HotU - Nope.

I never played that module and was looking forward to it. Sheeesh, guess it's a skip then.Eh, pirates of the sword coast was kinda lame. I expected swashbuckling, kidnapping of women, boarding ships and ransoming captives, general roguish behavior. What we somehow got is another goody two-shoes story about calming an evil goddess or some shit.
The DLC modules are all really mid at best.I never played that module and was looking forward to it. Sheeesh, guess it's a skip then.Eh, pirates of the sword coast was kinda lame. Though DoD and TotM were both initially conceived as Premium Modules, they're effectively classic "expansion packs" of similar scope to HotU. The rest of the PMs were smaller productions akin to the more nebulous "DLC" term we have today. As far as I've heard, the new EE Darkness over Daggerford and Tyrants of the Moonsea are a cut above the rest (I'm planning on playing them soon), but otherwise yeah, the official modules are mid at best.
