Alright, Warlock is leveled and geared, now blasting through campaigns. It's a fun class, and surprisingly few bugs and issues on release (aside from Dreadtheft bugs, the only other bug is a rather annoying bug with Fiery Blast which causes it to ignore the fact it hit a Cursed enemy, meaning no bonus damage but curse is consumed anyway).
Special features of the class: Fast-paced spellcaster with more importance on targeting and positioning than Wizard, less control more over-time effects and triggered effects, Curse mechanic, Stand power.
My personal playstyle is designed around close range damage output through Damage-Over-Time spells and self-healing effects. Hellish Rebuke at-will is used together with Blades of Vanquished Armies, Harrowstorm and Hand of Blight to have as much damage flowing out as possible. Gear is selected to make use of Damnation feat tree's capstone (Devilish Warlock armor set with Guardian Fighter class dye). The key is that Devilish Warlock and its T2 incarnation set grant a +3%/+4% bonus to Encounter damage. This bonus is TRIPLED when Soul Puppet Stand is active, which is where Damnation comes in becaue Damnation has essentially permanent Soul Puppet. The feat tree also grants 10% extra damage and 10% extra damage reduction from the Soul Puppet, so it shouldn't be far behind Fury in terms of damage, since Soul Puppet also adds decent damage with Damnation spec (100% more damage, which for me amounts to ~2.5k per swipe; the passive bonuses are still the real meat). Fiery Blast is used to clear mooks and add a little spike damage to the rotation. Class features used are Shadow Walk (Warlock does need the extra speed a great deal, due to lacking dodge and Unstoppable so getting out of the way is the only option for active defense) and No Pity, No Mercy (essentially extra 25% damage with 40+% crit chance). Harrowstorm also provides an option for much-needed control. Dailies are Brood of Hadar (since I just like it plain better visually, and damage-wise it seems pretty equal with Flames of Phleghethos) and Gates of Hell (extremely hard hitting AoE, just needs to be aimed and then stay fighting in the attack area).
As a side note, the tooltip on the Damnation feat that adds a heal on Cursed target death is wrong. The heal is actually over 100% of your weapon damage, so it's very good.
