The d20 mechanics sort of remind me of Warlord

But I've been down on the set ever since it was evident there was no support for Party.

A couple of nice spells like Wish, Magic Missiles, Meteor Swarm, etc...

Favorite card is still Portable Hole though.

I hope we get some green "Druid" spells, but it doesn't look likely.

it just came to my attention that this set is supposed to replace core 2022 or whatever.
those usually have less keywords and be easier on new players?

Thing is the set is wayyy more complex than any core set ever, it's arguably as "deep" as any other sets

It's just shit powerlvl and design all around, Kamigawa 2.0

in other news jumpstart is finally over for me. According to tracker im only 61% complete lol.

drana eluded me until the end. I swear, when it comes to goblins I had 90% chnce rate of getting muxus. For spellcasting it was double vision(managed to get playset of dualcaster through icrs). And for vampires I was constantly getting vito. In general ICRs were more generous and filled other spots. For example one land I dont have - walls, while I got 4x of rare and mythic that came with it.

As far as janky cards go, could be better but im still happy with results. 4x sphinx, 3x craterhoof and 3x terror sets me up nicely for reanimator fun. Along with 4x scarecrone and 3x doomed necromancer. Sadly just one rise of dark realms.

4x vito, 4x excuisite blood if i ever decide to go for life sheaningans. 4x sangromancer too, its just drana that was hard to get.

Im well set to start playing goblins or elves... although obviously id never do that. Especially elves are quite a manace right now

Too bad tracker doesnt show how many games I played.

Stx/Ikoria/Theros are pretty low powerlvl but with interesting mechanics

The set isn't as she as you make it out to be, made a Minsc deck, with Drizzt, Delina, Bard Class, etc..., and it wins alot.

Out of curiosity I looked over my email history of MTGA set-emails where it tells you how many packs you cracked for a given set. Appears I opened more Zendikar than anything else. Not sure if it's counting draft packs or only cracking packs open for cards, and that's only counting sets at Ikoria and later since their stat tracking was different early on (Oddly enough it goes from closed beta where they just say "We're wiping all account progress fuck you", open beta where they give you useless "You opened 500 packs", then fuck-all until Ikoria where they start telling you the packs you cracked of each set when it was new) and unsurprisingly Ikoria's in the dumpster since I basically didn't draft it and didn't spend gold on it since it didn't much like the set. Was at around 150 packs for Zendikar and 70 for Ikoria, and it looks like most sets end up around 110 for me. Surprisingly only 110 on Strix, but that's why I think it may not count draft packs. I know I drafted Kaldheim harder than Strix, but I'm only about 10 packs higher on Kald. Zendikar I think I splurged on 'cause of the mythic lands and pathways, and I like pathways more than I probably should. Didn't notice any stats for Jumpstart but that's not too surprising.
