Me too, what other kind of WWF... oh right. World Wildlife Fund used to be cool. Until you found out they were just making up shit and making deals with corporations so the board could get more moniez.

Skyjacker failed... again. Now they're moving their fundraising from Kickstarter to their own store: http://store.digitilus.com/ -- same reward tiers, etc.
Kind of tragic. I tossed a little jewgold at them (refunded now) 'cause the world really needs more space sims. Alas, I'll have to make do with Kinetic Void. I'm not going to sign up for another crowdsourcing site. I kinda like having all my updates for this kind of stuff in one place.

Speaking of tracking stuff in multiple places, BGG has a kickstarter section. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgamefamily/8374/kickstarter
It's not bleeding edge and mostly tracks stuffies whose kickstarters are already over, but it gives a nice indication of the kind of stuff that comes out of papercraft crowdsourcing. You can sort by rank to find the ones that turned out nice or by year published to find the ones whose kickstarters aren't over yet.

Yeah I really don't get why Skyjacker never seemed to catch on and garner sufficient internet support/advertisement/exposure. Especially since they actually have a working client and extensive game footage. I guess there really isn't a big audience for this genre anymore.

Training caveman game for iOS and touchscreen devices, use voice too:

Edit:
Not game related but considering the number of fans here maybe someone will find this interesting:

“Be Here Now” is an inspiring feature documentary and love story, about the overnight sensation, actor and international sex symbol Andy Whitfield, who put the same determination and dedication that he brought to his lead role in the hit television show, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” into fighting life threatening cancer.

This is Andy's story, but it also about having the courage to make your dreams come true, tackling your fears and living in the present, despite the potential outcome. This film is for anyone who has ever faced a challenge in their lives.

As a token of appreciation (for letting you know about this) you should sacrifice Fallout to the cRPG Discussion - The New Shit™ forum :smug: (it's late 90s after all)

minecraft doppelganger
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/902505202/castle-story?ref=category

IMO still impressive that 2 guys did this in 18 months during their free time

but I still don't get why they're able to amass $63k and counting

it's the graphics I guess (although I have no clue on what's different from minecraft since I never played it)

edit: shit I just noticed, this project was started today!
fuck!
those guys must be partying like crazies right now... hookers and blow. hookers and blow.

It's really not similar enough to be called a minecraft clone, it's a strategy game not a sandboxing game.

This thread is missing one of the coolest kickstarter projects (already funded)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/928099324/fist-puncher-old-school-beat-em-up
I miss these type of games...
Already signaled, not included for excessive crappiness.

Maybe you want to check this one instead, the sequel of a SNES clone of Double Dragon:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pinstripegames/bad-dudes-2?ref=live

How can you say that.
It's a retro beat 'em up.
You hurt my feelings :(

Another big name joins Kickstarter:
Anomalisa is a stop-motion animated film written by Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

The film is about a man crippled by the mundanity of his life.

The film will be approximately 40 minutes in length.

Backed the project and then saw that the Starburn industries logo
