Fix the house. Move to another in order to lease that. IT's too freaking exhausted business.

As for games, having a good run of IWD2 so not bad. Not much spare time to play something more/else.

Overall: so-so.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Have lost a lot of weight by adopting a healthier diet and by increasing work hours. Has really increased my overall well-being quite a lot and stimulated my lipido to a ridiculous degree, of which my wife is particularly happy about. Also started a new job which I enjoy so far. So overall it has been great, thanks for asking.

Normally big developers can go fuck themselves, this year especially so(I'm looking at you Bethesda and Bioware). But when it comes to CRPG, it's pretty good, I like Deadfire and Expedition Vikings alot . Kingmaker is not a 2018 game for me, it's a 2019 game when all the patches being done.

Best CRPG I played this year: Kingdom come deliverance

I originally wanted to play this back when it was released but decided to wait a bit for bug fixes etc...
I originally didn't really know much about it, I only caught up with the "hype" like two months before release.
Once I got my hands on it, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was better than I thought it would be, and some stuff it does, it does really well, like so well that I haven't seen it done well in other games for a long while.

Game of the year: Kingdom Come deliverance

Yeah, nothing much to say here, nothing else was really any good tbh.

Disappointments: Kingmaker, Underworld Ascendant, PoE 2 deadfire, Vampyr, Disgaea 5 PC

When I got kingmaker I was expecting something big, something like a mixture of stronghold with baldur's gate, I ended up getting a loading screen simulator instead.

I've been following underworld Ascendant for a while and it's recent release really stung, oh well...

I wasn't really sure what to expect with deadfire; after trying it out I was pissed that they reset my level and the combat/progression was as it was before, stale, and slow. The game ran like shit too.

I was kinda interested in Vampyr, especially since the last vampire game was... idk, bloodlines? Anyway, it wasn't too bad tbh, but some of the systems were too simplistic, and they made it too easy to progress without biting anyone.

I've been looking forward to Disgaea 5 for a while, I was hoping it would have had massive improvement over the 1st one, but not really, all it had was just some new features over the 1st one, and a bit more polish. The story was also annoying as usual...

My overall rating: 1/5.

Pretty shit year tbh, the only good game I played that was released this year was Kingdom come, the rest were just a dissapointment. Maybe I'll like kingmaker more after more fixes come out and if they fix the loading issue? Idk, shit year.

Pillars of Eternity II is CRPG of the year, hands down. Anyone claiming otherwise is just a butthurt Obsidian hater or Russian.
Nah Deadfire was nice, for the most part but it was a sequel made by one of the most expirenced RPG developers.
On the other hand you have a bunch of crazy Russians that made Baldurs gate 3 without anyone noticing. Even if it's a buggy mess that suffers from questionable encounter design there is a lot more potential. I have already spent more time modding, playing and drooling over Pathfinder then i ever did over POE1 and 2

It'll probably turn-out to be a decent or even praised game in 20 years when this game's loading screens are finally annihilated by technology.

I haven't played Kingmaker yet. I have it installed on my computer since launch but i don't dare beginning a campaign until at least version 1.5 or 1.6. Things may be like you say, it may really be a better CRPG than POE2, but i wouldn't know because it is FUBAR.

I don't care how well designed a game is, if it is completely broken then it does not deserve any recognition. It is the same reason i hated on Skyrim when it was launched, even though it is one of my favourite games. They didn't deserve their ratings by releasing a broken game, and Skyrim wasn't nearly as broken as Kingmaker is...

First of all SMB 3 is a brilliant Jump and Run anyone who says otherwise is a complete idiot.

Kingmaker is a combatfag game, it has very little dialogue compared to Deadfire you would know that if you had played it. The game's gratest appeal is the character creation which is simply superior to Deadfires's "every Class is some kind of mage system"

Anyway 2018 was a bad year for AAA Pc gaming aside from Odyssey. but had some enjoyable Indie titles like Into the breach, Kingmaker, Celeste and Unavowed
Overall I thought it was a lot weaker than 2017. But that's just my opionion.
Honestly the best things i played this year were the Trails of cold Steel 1 and 2 and Vampires Bloodlines for the first time.

Quit a cushy job, discovered I still earn plenty by doing freelance journalism all the while having shitton of time to play games (Battle Brothers, here I come). So far so good.
Now thinking whether I could attain even more time for gaming by ditching current fiancee and initiating once-per-week shag sessions with an intern/student/colleague instead. Existential times, these.

As far as RPGs go, Kingmaker made 2018 a smashing success.

I've just started chapter 4 and have yet to see even a single significant bug. The game has played out like a real-life Dungeons and Dragons campaign for me, something I hadn't felt since ToEE (which felt cold and distant at times). It's been so enjoyable, in fact, that I'm contemplating whether to place it in my overall #1 of all time, surpassing Fallout. Yes, you read that correctly.

Long loading screens? Phhaw, never had to wait more than 15 seconds even before the patch which made them even shorter.

Problems with kingdom management? You'd have to be a complete IDIOT not to ace this part of the game nearly effortlessly.

"Shitty RTwP"? Other than the occasional minor placement glitches, it's the best implementation of RTwP taking over for turn-based I've ever seen. Combat turns are being faithfully represented, just simultaneously.

Thank you, Owlcat.

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
It was a mixed bag for me.

I retired, so that was good.
Some crappy new posters joined the Codex, including one who insists on creating new fucking polls every fucking day, so that was bad.

RPG-wise, Deadfire was a disappointment, but P:K helped redeem the year for me, bugs and all.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
Even if Kingmaker had been the only good RPG released this year, which it isn't, it would still have been a historic year for RPGs.

And I say this before even having played it past Chapter I.

It's been great. Another historical fiction RPG (two in one lifetime!) in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and I get to watch the major publishers sweat.

Oh, come on! There are more historical RPGs than Darklands and Kingdom Come. There are Expeditions: Conquistador and Viking for example. Konung games from what I hear are also based in early medieval Scandinavia. The Chinese and the Japanese have some historical RPGs.

Plus now that the Assassin's Creed games became RPG-lite you also have Origins and Odyssey.

True, they are not many. But still...
