Seeing as (almost) full combat tactical RPG's seem to be my favourites these days, I'm very interested in this. Happy to see you ain't dead yet, even if this might not be your passion project, I personally prefer this kind of game.

"[...] bronze age tactical RPG" is a phrase that reminded me of Evil Islands. Probably because metal is incredibly valuable there (enough for the protagonist to be considered the "Chosen One" purely because he has an iron dagger) and you start like a caveman.

I assume they picked bronze age (among other things) so that they can have the classic metal tier progression, something like bronze->iron->steel->magic metal->super ultra magic metal.

Anyway, a Battle Brothers-like by ITS sounds cool as hell. Though a party of 6 sounds like it'll be something of a hybrid between BB and CS and retain more RPG elements. Wonder what the difficulty will be like. IT games I've mostly found to be balanced in a way where you're expected to reload tough fights 20 times until you finally beat it, while BB is best played on ironman (else it becomes a fairly boring cakewalk).
