Take Two CEO: We Never Believed Single-Player Games Were Dead Unlike Our Competitors
There was a time when a couple of our competitors were taking the position that single player was dead. We never took that position. We know that there’s a role for a single player. I believe there will be a role going forward. Then there are certain games that are meant to be only multiplayer experiences.
Rockstar is known for storytelling, and yes, Rockstar is also known for these fantastic open world experiences. They clearly do both really well. And the contract shows, as you just said that, consumers are really excited about Rockstar storytelling ability, and at the same time, we had a great quarter with Grand Theft Auto Online. So there’s a lot of excitement there. So the answer is sort of all of the above.
Fun game: Can anyone, without pulling up Wikipedia, shortly describe GTA V’s story? Or describe it at all?
the alternatives are:What an asshole. If that were true, why didn't they release any single player expansions for GTA5?

Michael gets pulled out of retirement by psycho friend (who thought he was dead) and they're joined by low level hustler (Franklin) who wants to move up in the world. They pull bigger and bigger jobs and clash with criminals and law enforement until the game ends. They gaze into the sunset together and the credits roll.
Boring Mr. Midlife Crisis somehow gets to spice up again his life by doing a robbery that against all odds goes well. Doing so attracts the attention of his old pal Mr Looney-Tune psychopath who - while being as one-dimensional as all other characters - sometimes display vague hints of anger and despair and so is by far the most and only relatable character in the whole story. Because of plot they decide to rob stuff and shit. They get the support of Mr Token Minority Small Fry who for some reason sees going from weed dealing to mass slaughter as a great life improvement. Then they do all kind of spectacular heists and stunts, each one more incredible than the other but each time without any fucking consequence because fuck you that's the plot. Then for some reason they decide to blow it all and rob a bank and we're supposed to be enthusiastic or whatever, then I stopped playing but I guess at the end Mr Midlife Crisis gets to grow some balls and be a respectable family man, Mr Looney gets lost and Mr "Sure my friends will respect me now that I'm researched in the whole country on three hundred accounts of senseless murder" gets respect and his girl and money and it's all well except for some stupid and unforeseen twist like after every other fucking mission.Fun game: Can anyone, without pulling up Wikipedia, shortly describe GTA V’s story? Johnny plans for his wedding with Lisa (who betrays him), accompanied by his best friend (Mark) and (Denny). We learn of the struggles of their friends and family, like breast cancer, and clash with criminals like Chris-R, until things reach a critical mass. They mourn Johnny’s tragic end and the credits roll.
It's only too bad that so much of its side content is unfinished (clothes system, girlfriends stories, side missions).IF YOU LIKE GTA SHIT PLAY SLEEPING DOGS IF YOU HVNT ALREADY
100% It's my favourite GTA type game. It's one of those games I wish I could forget and play for the first time again

This is only wishful thinking, since I know Rockstar will not do it, but what if GTA VI turns out to be a massive immersive simulation and an emergent gameplay generator. There'd be no story, no single-player campaign, no missions and no hand-holding? Much in the way of Minecraft.
Also, no introduction other than an in-game one right at the beginning on how to control the character. You just get dumped into the world, to figure things out for yourself, which does what and its consequences. It would be easy to learn but hard to master, with the possibility of things getting incredibly complicated. That could be an infinite nightmare for qualtiy assurance, though.
still better than gta4.But yes the city was empty of activities and lacked the numerous side quests that are common in GTA games
What an asshole. If that were true, why didn't they release any single player expansions for GTA5?
