First time in RPG history that the kid isn't made to be a gullible retard? It really is amazing how many well developed and believable characters this game has in comparison to most trash.

Your goatee, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. Mine is so fucking manly that I could kill myself by looking down.

The last time I played this game, I got stuck while fighting the demon army because I didn't build up a big enough army and couldn't make progress. This morning I decided to give it another go, and I blew through the whole thing in... 14 straight hours. This game is seriously the most addicting piece of software ever designed.

But man, those demons were still tough as hell. I still managed to defeat two territories every turn by abusing Yuzuhara + Action Textbook2, Yamamoto's Whirlwind attack and four ninjas with Assassinate2. Sniping the annoying support units or superstacks makes the battle 90% won.

Now it's time to play it again...

Turn #84 Again…

Unfortunately it seems we have to reverse time once again because right after I press the “End Turn” the Demon Army makes a zerg-rush. It’s one of those never-ending assaults that pushes me out from the province, that’s three strong-points which I conquered with blood, sweat and tears. Fuck them, I will not give them back.

We go back to this…

…point in time. Right after we use our first AF to get Kou’s item. The plan is as follows – we conquer the last three strong-points and take this god-forsaken-province.

alcg3590.jpg

To win the first battle I had to retry something like 15 times. I was pretty…
:rage:

To win this battle I had to retry 20 times (I’m NOT pulling this number of my ass).

What absolute horse shit…

…yeah, like that one.

Seriously, from all what I have read this even should only happen when two conditions are met:
1. You lose the battle.
2. Leila must be low on troops

Which was both “negative”. And no, you sick fucks won’t see my woman fucked by that fucking demon.
(Well, at least not before I finish this LP :smug: )

Anyway, load! The same battle once more, this time without Leila - we play it safe.

Fucking carnage on both sides. The bill to fix all this damage will be a killer in the next turn.

alcg3596.jpg

Finally we are here. By this time I’m looking over my shoulder wondering if the game is planning to pull some kind of a fast one on me.

alcg3597.jpg

Oh, an event… go me worried for a moment there.

Here Rance meets Shogun Issun, the yellow monster we just fought.

As a noob to this game I ask, does it matter on how you end the game, so long as you end it before you can re-play and access the other routes?

Like that one path involving the girl you rape in front of her father not being accessible on the first play through for example

To the earlier question - it does not matter how you end the game.

That's the general answer I can give you because I'm still not sure on what you are getting at.

But I will fire blind. On the 1st playthrough you are confined to the "True" route (one I'm doing right now). "IF" routs can be entered on later replays. Character accessibility is something that differs between routs, not playthroughs of the same route.

Although there is an exception when calling for reinforcements. In the first playthrought you an only ask for 2 Commanders, in the next playthroughts you an ask for 6.

Additional info.
Differences between various play throughs:
-Any game you started before having a cleared-game savefile is called a "First Game". After having cleared the game at least once (game over doesn't count) it's called a "Second Game".
-When starting a Second Game you get to spend points buying various bonuses. The amount of points you get to spend is the maximum of the points from your previous cleared-games, plus 5 points per route you have cleared.
-For Second Game, you also get to pick the game diffculty. "Standard" diffculty starts your game with 60 points (same diffculty as First Game), and increasing diffculty starts you off with more points. Note this is the points you receive at the beginning of this new game, this isn't points you get to spend buying bonuses before starting this new game.
-IF routes are only available in Second Game. In the First Game only the Real History route is available.

If you play the <true> route, there's only one possible way to the endgame. There's of course a lot of optional stuff (the character clears, the dungeons etc. etc.), but the demon army events will always happen.

Edit: WhiskeyWolf was faster...

Do you mean reinforcements from the continent? I played true route as the first playthrough two times (on two different computers) and I had all the 6 commanders at the end of it in both instances. The rule is - you have to call the reinforcements before the second phase of the game starts (i.e. the event at the temple occurs).

Yes, that's right.

Doesn't applocale works with Windows 7, too?

1) Have dvd/iso with the game
2) have yandere translation patch found here
3)mount the dvd/iso into your real/virtual dvd drive
4)do not click setup. Instead run the patch file. - the setup patch file should perform installation of the game and localize it.
5)if the above does not work use microsoft applocale. Use it also to play the game.
6)if that fails change the locale of your system to japanese
control panel > regions and language > administrative tab > change system regional configuration > japanese >

reboot > repeat steps 1-5
