Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Did you steal it or did you committed genocide in Salt Lake City?
Neither.
It was part of the storyline for me to kill the Sheriff. I think he tried to prevent me from boarding the train or something.
kinda different for me. i have high rep in SLC, and high charisma + speech, he allowed me just like that

Dunno, but....

Where did you got a Gauss Rifle?

Also, as Kyn Von Kull pointed out, there seems to be a Gauss Rifle in possession of the Sheriff of Salt Lake City.

i think you can buy one from the bickers. i definitely got one, and i didn't kill the sheriff.

Crazy Edition, or the original? I don't remember there being any opportunity to buy stuff from the bikers other than them installing some stuff into the car or some mechanic-related reward/service.

original.
i just checked. there should be a "buy metal parts" dialogue option. if you don't see that, try barter.

Couple of questions relating to quests if you guys dont mind.

In New Reno, got a couple quests Im stuck on.

1. Bertolini, accessing his strongbox. I think I heard earlier in that there was some explosive or something needed to open it up, but I dont remember if that was correct or not, and even if it was, where to get it.

2. Causing a distraction in Bertolini casino. Ive done both the 5 poison beers and planting them intot he customers, and then got a tommy gun and shot some hobo outside the casino, so I should've completed the quest right? Yet Im not able to turn it in? Why?

3.For Mr Thompson, Im trying to to investigate how his guy got shot, but the only people that say anything about it are the drug dealer and the leader prostitute near Mr Wright. Cant figure out how to advance this quest.

Anyways Id appreciate it if you guys could help me

i don't remember using explosives for the stringbox. think you can open it just fine with regular lockpick skill.

i really don't know. i solved that quests without much problems....there shouldn't be any bugs at this point. have you been wearing the balaclava?

you got to pay a lot of attention to what these witnesses are telling you. but it's still hard to figure out then, i know.
try using the repair skill on the nearby street lamp.

1. Apparently the mechanic in the Railway had a silent explosive which allows you to open the strongbox. Didnt realize you could open it normally though, guess my lockpick was still too low.

2. Apparently the strongbox and the distractions were tied together even though they are considered 2 different quests. When I got the strongbox, and went to turn it in, I was able to turn in the distraction quests as well. So all of them were a package deal I guess.

3. Wow. I NEVER would've gotten that. Like I analyzed the street lamps too, but without any differing dialogue from a normal street lamp, I never would've bothered to click repair on each of them. Man thats so out of left field.

But now I got a new conumdrum if you dont mind. I have to figure out how to convince Mr Lewis Mordino, the guy who owns the Silver Hotel, to join with Mr Thompson, but I dont have a dialogue option to convince him. My speech is 70, so id like to think if there was a dialogue option, it would've been there. Which to me makes me think I have to solve this some other way, but I got no clues to go on. I figured talking to the patrons at his restaurant would help, but nothing did.

Edit: Oh wait, Im getting warmer. The receptionist led me to the restaurant. The kid knows about them. Sadly my 70 speech doesnt allow me to get anything out of him. Dang.

Dang even with 104 in speech this kid wont give me the answer to where the family is. I notice he says something about "Unless it was something important" like if I had something that this kid likes, he might open up to me. Dont know if maybe thats the line of thinking I should be using here. Not even talking to Mordino or his casino receptionist with 104 speech does anything. Guess Im gonna try and figure out what this kid wants

yeah i know. i don't remember if read the solution up somewhere or if i stumbled over it randomly. and of course it's a bit stupid that you are not able to find any evidence on the balcony without having inspected the street lights first. but don't worry, that's probably the quest with the most arbitrary solution.

must be a char/int check for the boy. i don't think i had speech skill above 80 back then. some dealers sell stuff that boosts those stats.
but if you still don't get the info you need.
look around the area where the mechanic got his shop

I could've sworn I checked the entirety of that southern area where the mechanic is. Guess Ill try again, wonder if my perception of 2 influences this or not. Ill check again though.

And sorry, another question if you dont mind. Im trying to get Terry Devero out from under Stryker. Ive met his friend, unlocked the back door, implanted booze on Terrys immediate guard, since for some reason I cant just open a dialogue with him to give it to him. And I never get a new dialogue option from Terry. I was reading online and the only thing I could find was to unlock the back door, and to give the guard booze, Ive unlocked the back door, but dont know if me implanting the booze counts as giving the guard booze or not. Not really sure what to do here

Yeah I figured it out like 20 hours later into the mod when I noticed a flickering streetlight in Salt Lake City that I could repair for some trivial experience points.

nope, perception 2 is probably not enough.

Anyone managed to convince Dogmeat to join you? I gave him food but game crashed.

Not sure if this helps. But when I killed the raiders that were next to Dogmeat, I clicked on Dogmeat, but he just gave me an angry text about my armor. So I took it off, and he likes the Vault Suit, so then he joins you. Hope that helped.

Does anybody know where the New Reno bunker keycard is? Cant get through this final door without a keycard, which the game says is in the bunker itself. But I dont see anything that shows a card being here. Even went outside and used a metal detector on the sand and no keycard

Edit: (You've gotta be shitting me, I can use the Metal Detector on top of the brick floor? Really? I figured using it on top of sand made sense....but an actual brick floor? You're telling me I can't just look down and see it? Lol. Whelp, that certainly opens my horizons. Time to go back to every area Ive been in just to see if I can find some goodies in the middle of a street or something lol)

It's been a long time, so take this with a grain of salt, but IIRC it's in a safe inside a wall near the top-right part of the bunker. But hey, I might be remembering it wrong.

Yeah Ive checked the area where the turrents are outside the hangar. Immediately inside the hangar with the 2 big robots. and the underground of that where you turn off the power. Nothing in any of those 3 places had a jammer of any type.

Though I do think something was odd because the area where you turn off the power, the 3rd area underground, had a locker next to its door, but when i opened it it contained nothing. To me that would've seemed like the place one would've put an important item. But still cant find this jammer

It's better to hack the console for extra XP. The password is the project's name found on the computer.

Ah doh! I just discovered the project name last night :retarded:thanks+M

How much science is needed for hacking? (60 is not enough:oops:)
