If you are really quiet, you can hear Josh thinking about how he can balance the upcoming Obsidian-made spinoff, to be set in Canada.

Been watching the endings... it's the exact same follow Liberty Prime as fallout 3. Plus right to the very end BoS keep repeating their new catchphrase 'Ad victoriam' ad nauseam. The amount of ego stroking throughout the ending is hilarious, i fully expected to see the PC installed as the new Elder of the BoS, to help them fight the good fight.

I almost...almost them to say that 'now we've killed your baby and saved the commonwealth from evil use of technology, its time to steal all the technology to keep it out of the hands of the primitives in case they misuse' but no, it's 'we have to get rid of the supermutants and ferals to help these people'.

One thing I will ask is what engine would be better? One that they wouldn't have to spend years customizing to even come close to what they do with gamebryo? I know it's buggy but I'm fairly certain any engine would be with these games

This is the chance for CDProjekt to announce their own post-apoc, Neuroshima-based game.

I am 5 hours in so far and it's pretty enjoyable. Much more fun than Fallout 3. in my opinion, the less Bethesda tries to make the game look like an RPG the better, because they can't make rpgs that don't suck.

The story is fucking dumb, the factions seem shit so far, but all in all it's more enjoyable than other big budget AAA 'rpgs' like Twitcher 3 or DA:I.

It's not a good Fallout game and I hate it for that, but it's enjoyable for a big release in this day and age.

Oh, and so far the game seems to be pretty challenging, which is a nice change of pace.

I heard one of the first things you find in the game is the power armor. Is this true?

A friend of mine is saying you can actually find several suits of power armor just lying around in the first few hours of the game. What the fuck?

And then you can sell them for bottle caps.

Think about that and tell me the entire Fallout franchise makes any bit of fucking sense.

Yep. There's one you get in the first real quest where you meet Preston and there's a crashed Vertibird very close to your first settlement.

The joke's that Obsidian is losing people now.

New Vegas writers:

John Gonzalez - RIP
Chris Avellone - RIP
Eric Fenstermaker - still at Obsidian but was the creative lead on Pillars of Eternity

I'd still prefer Obsidian to Bethesda for all storyfag needs, but it's getting harder by the day.

Don't lie. F4 is boring shit. I played 2 hours and uninstalled. Everything is bad, graphic, story, gameplay, m/k controls, ui + bugs and lags. Its shit, just shit.:killit:

I've just quit playing because of this. It is the second quest you get when you leave the vault.

Quest 1: go to your house, speak to your robot butler. Banal, shit boring.

Quest 2: go to settlement, help some people clear out raiders by getting power armour and minigun from a Vertibird.

Fuck this fucking shit.

I said first *real* quest. Technically isn't it the fourth or fifth one if you count the vault shit and the 'greet dog' quest?

Christ. I can't even begin to think about this game right now.

I knew it would be bad. I knew it would be like drinking a milkshake made out of shit compared to the sweet mojito that was New Vegas. But I wasn't expecting this much decline.

I actually thought Fallout 3 was Bethesda inclining after Oblivion, but there's no way anyone can say Fallout 4 is anything other than decline, yet again, in everything except the visuals department.

Grab the Codex by the pussy
81% positive on Steam, 88 Metascore/5.2 User Score, pretty damning stuff for the initial release of a circlejerked-to-high-heaven fratbro console game.

Is there level scaling? Does the game allow you to actually die to enemies more powerful than you? Because apparently that power armor that you can nearly immediately find is meant for you to kill a deathclaw. The more I hear, the worse it gets. I genuinely didn't think it was possible.
