Risen 1 was a great game. I enjoyed it more than Gothic 2 .
Risen 2 and 3 i also had a great time with, despite some quirks. They were still PB games and we dont have enough of those.

I like them all. PB games are way better than most other RPGs out there.
I should have added at the end after Gothic 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Other RPGs.
If i wanted to replay one tomorrow id probably pick Elex over Gothic 2, but Gothic 2 is still a 10/10 game. All im saying.

All PB games are like Elder Scroll games to me, " day 1 purchase " for sure

ELEX 1 was particularly brilliant and as I keep saying it represented the best components of all the previous PB games which included true open world and sandbox, no level scaling enemies , interesting crafting, a variety of factions to eventually align with and exciting quests
What more can we ask for ?

That sounds good, I guess I should give PB another chance. I didn't expect that they would output something decent again after Gothic 3 and the Risen series.
So you don't think first Risen is at least "decent"? It's a better game than Elex, at least when it comes to building on strengths of G1-2.
Decent was perhaps the wrong word; Risen 1 is a decent rpg if compared to a larger set of rpg's but it was not an improvement over G1/2 for me. I hoped that they would do better after all this time. Instead they keep making similar games without any signs of improvement, not even reaching former heights, and that is disappointing. I think that explains my doubts about Elex.

I started a second playthrough, enough time has elapsed since the release for me to rediscover ELEX. Already found the thieves guild that I missed the first time around :incline:.

It certainly was an improvement in some important areas, compared to both G1-2 and games that followed, like controls or UI. And it's not like it's a small difference. That said, it generally was pretty much the real G3 and it followed the template very nicely with moderately-sized, but extremely tightly designed world and all the characteristic little features and charm of classic PB action rpg, like actually meaningful and satisfying but not broken crafting or unique dialogue for different skill learning. Elex is a mix of classic PB, nu PB and modern open world action rpg. It's a much bigger game, but size doesn't necessarily translate super well to quality. Its design is also quite... messy. But it's still plenty fun for one playthrough at least.

Is there a way to deactivate the button prompts in Elex without deactivating the whole HUD ?
