Telengard please...
1. Witcher is hack n' slash that tries to be crpg - but still nice h n's.
2. Witcher 2 and 1 were playable after long time and few "big" patches, at their realease they were piece of coding shit.
3. I just hate that they are trying to compare themselves to Bethesda and say between words than Witcher will be better than ES , especially Skyrim.
For god sake, when Bethesda makes lore and first great games from ES, CdP chiefs were selling "questionable" versions of games from their table at the market.
It's good that they are strong company, but they are nowhere near level of deep lore of ES. Not to say universe of Witcher is not their creation. No to mention about world editors, just look at quality and number of mods from morrowind to skyrim, fallout NV and F3 - look at Nexus mods.
Sapkowski literature is somewhere beneath level of RA Salvatore plus more ohoho"im so adult and dangerous" "bad words" and "mature", "dark" content for nerds who don't see naked women in their life.
It's just very decent fantasy which has its good moments but it's pretty boring and schematic as a whole.
4. UI in Witchers sucks big time from perspective of "normal" mouse+keyboard player and i agree with taxalot. If i want to play cprg with gamepad then it will mean that
im deviant or that im really in psychiatric asylum or matrix. Crpgs are meant to be played with mouse and keyboard. When you play pen and paper rpg you are not doing it by holding smartfon.

As for main topic, despites all deviant agenda in Inqusition it will be last good crpg game this year from AAA department, like it or no but Bioware have arisen from DA2 fall.
DA2 was greedy step from EA and i think Bioware had to deal with it, to complete sequel of Origins in such a short time.
There are points i truly don't like at Inquisition but there are hell lot more i just love and that matters. Sure i will want that makers of D:OS, Xulima or Underrail had milions of $ that AAA developers has,
and can bring us more creative crpg worlds, full of nerdy content. But that's life .
:excellent:

Witcher 1 felt like an awkward sex-based RPG - it was a true PC title because it felt very awkward and nichey.
Witcher 2 felt like a brief consolized action RPG with so-so sword play and enough broken support spells to trivialize difficulty. It was even more cinematic than the first game.
Witcher 3 will be 100% pure console title ported to PC.

I don't even remember my choices. and I want my hero names ;)
Can't you simply import the save file in DAI, like you could in DA2?
The only method to affect the world state in DA:I is by using the Dragon Age Keep site to import your achievements and character name/class from previous games. Then they let you play around with the choices and characters.
Did they give a reason for removing such simple feature?

I can tell you the reason. It's obvious.

First of all, DA:O was the first BW game to use the BSN to tack your data -- and what they did with that data was metrics. Those metrics were used to justify removing Dwarf and Elf as playable races for the protag in DA2. They also used your tracked decisions to further curtail DA2's development. They have data whether you watched cutscenes, made certain choices in quests, or turned off certain settings.

They want you tracked so they can satisfy the suits at EA with their design decisions.

They need some small incentive to get you to opt into being tracked. Do you need to maintain a connection to see impacts of DA2 choices? If so, they win even more.

I guess that makes sense. But I hope I can just import the data from DA Keep and then turn Origin offline. At least I know I can do it with Sims 4.

BAD NEWS CODEX!!!

DA:I uses the Denuvo anti-piracy system for the PC version of the game. Which hasn't been cracked yet.

If you want to ride the bull, then you're going to have to buy the game... Or pirate the super shitty 360/PS3 version.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

What a shame. I was looking forward to repeating my DA2 experience where me and a bro both legally purchase our legal videogames using legal tender at the same time and then compare notes on the stupid shit we see and how much our polar opposite games differ. Which in the case of DA2 was not at all. Was actually a hell of a lot of fun that way. nevr 4 get

I strongly suspect that the Witcher is at least partially an author self-insertion, or rather, an author wishful-thinking-self-insertion. That, or Sapkowski is a big fan of "The Sorrows of Young Werther".

Some of the features mentioned I don't like, e.g. having to accumulate some sort of brownie points to unlock areas. But as long as you can do some fun evil stuff, I might play it.

Wait, I can't import my saves into Faggot Age Inquisition? I have to manually select all my choices in that Keep website?

... okay. Will Dragon Age Keep work with the LEGALLY PURCHASED and not at all pirated version of the game I'm going to acquire?

\Read a couple of pages back. Someone posted a SPOILER that is pretty huge if it's actually true.

If that's actually true, I'll make sure to select "Let Varrick keep the red lyrium" option, even though in my playthrough I gave it to that autist Codexer dwarf. My sole mission in this game will be to kill off as many companions as possible.

EA does not want to EVER "inconvenience" any of their players, so no matter what choice you make, nothing will matter AT ALL.

That doesn't sell.

Hello.... this is BioWare.

Dragon Age: Origins is one of the most C&C filled major RPGs we have.

I don't know whether the keep will have any effect - probably not - but in itself it is quite impressive. I wish The Witcher had something like it.
