The idea of a war lasting generations is really cool, but I wish they would also say something about the king. Heroes die and new ones take their place cool. But what about kings? I really hope kings will affect the state of the war too. Different king rules the kingdom differently giving different bonuses and disadvantages. And what about hero kings? Can a king die in combat? Or is more important for a King to raise his successor?
It was made fairly clear in the pitch that the king is immortal. The other stuff, good questions and things I'd like answered as well before tossing any money at it.
Yeah, probably so, but it creates this kinda meta-state when king is the player and because the player doesn't die, the king doesn't die. I don't know I just don't really like the sound of it. Especially that it seems like a wasted potential.
But I'm judging an entire game after seeing a couple of drawings like an asshole. So I'll shut up and wait for some actual information.
Losing one of your greatist warrior or leader might hurt you more if you only get some shitty artifact. What's the point of permadeath if the end result is something that makes you more powerful???!!!

How long will the game be?
We’re too early in development to estimate the length of a typical campaign, but we’re aiming at a length similar to the new XCOM game, ~8-10 hours. We’re also focusing on replayability and investigating time-scale options so you can tailor the campaign’s length to your liking!
I dont see how they plan to make multiple generations of heroes work in only 8-10 hrs.
Thanks for backing - you rock!
It’s too early to estimate the length of a campaign, but we’re aiming for something along the lines of the new XCOM, so we’re thinking ~8-10 hours per campaign with replayability being a focus.
XCOM included a “marathon mode” feature that crammed more missions in-between time events, and we’ll investigate adding similar options so you can tailor the campaign length to your liking.
Meanwhile at Larian's HQ Sven Vincke feels a huge disturbance of force.Sounds like a neat concept but the name is fucking awful.

Did they remove that figure from the FAQ?
I really really like the premise of this game. It could be really awesome. But to be honest the reward tiers suck ass (the bang-for-buck is very poor), so I'll probably just wait until release and buy it then.
