Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Jaesun, you should request Zandalor's trunks as a physical item for some of the higher tiers.

Early bird reward
As a token of appreciation to all our fans who pledged already (and the ones we hope are going to pledge in the very near future) we’re giving away Zandalor’s trunks of epic intelligence to the first 5000 backers! Wear these and you’ll be able to discover an easter egg in the final version of the game – but beware, these trunks are rumored to have an opinon about things! (Item does not unbalance the game.)

This piece of concept art shows these trunks off. As to Sir John himself, I don't know if he, or his utility-belt-system, is still in.

Very bro of them, the blog update is specialy interesting:

WATCH!!!

Also:

Personally, I think we can still have a campaign that can go way beyond our funding goal, though admittedly, we will need to fix a few obvious things (well, they’re obvious now
icon_wink.gif
) like the rewards, part of the story we tell (less features, more who and why), and what happens if we fail in this Kickstarter. Thank you to DarkUnderlord,Robcat and the rest of the gang for helping us get these insights btw.
We're the gang!

Kickstarters require a lot, a lot, of media work. There are projects out there which hit half a million or so, and they started the campaign by contacting, literally, two, three hundred different press outlets. Swen it seems did a lot of good work with their 'world tour' and lining up 70 previews, but when that didn't fire properly that was always going to cause a lot of problems. I mean, is that all live even now?

There's no point going on and aon about the launch though. What Larian need to do is continue, for all 30 days, to contact every single gaming and non-gaming media outlet they can possibly imagine, and of course, give the ones that did cover a reason to cover again. I think especially in this case one flashy stretch goal / reveal somewhere soon could really help. Sadly, it would probably need to be something along the lines of a new feature or addition, since Larian's already shown so much of the actual game.

For my defense, I did tweet Swen Vincke about DUs suggestions to improve the tiers. And I know he read them. :)

Jaesun OS is a prequel to the first Divinity (note the title).

Can anyone ask someone somewhere how saving the game in multiplayer will work? Free saving/checkpoints/whatever? This is very important, just as friendly fire info, but given the oldschewlness of this game I think it's safe to assume FF is a given.

@All re coop & single player: We heard you- we'll show single player in the next update.

@LC: Of course there will be corpses. It's just not implemented yet. This is the danger of our campaign & all the hands-on previews. Everybody thinks we're finished with our job already whereas we still have a very long list of things to do.

About corpses: more specifically, animals and that type of human NPC have no death animation yet. The last frame of their death animation is usually their corpse, so that's why we didn't see none... You may hear me say, in update 2 video, that the sheep will explode. I meant that as a bug, cause he should die and become a (cute fluffy) corpse.
-David

@Larian: Is there anything similar to the Effects Editor like the one in NWN2? There was SO many cool things you could do with that. :)

Jaesun: You'll be able to make your own shaders with the shader editor, but the FX are currently made in a package called FX Studio. We're for sure going come up with our own version of that during the support of the editor, but it won't be in at release.

I thought the exploding sheep was hilarious personally heh. :)

Been going through the interviews -- I'm consistently blown away by the humility Larian shows in accepting faults in their games. This, when paired with how transparent and open Sven's blog is really just gives that warm fuzzy feeling.

I'm turning into a fanboy =(

Oh my god, the human race. Re: their video update:

This video makes it look like A. you are the only ones making the game and B. You quite quickly sum up a rather large amount of things wrong with this game (and I agree, it still needs (a lot) of work). I think it (this video) actually hurts you instead of help you, because I am seriously thinking of pulling my $25 pledge :/

This is why publishers are hype machines, and why developers are never honest with us. People are just fucking awful.

I feel more like it's just the average person. There is a reason big companies have PR departments, after all. If they see their favorite developers criticizing their own game, they freak out, like this guy right here.

Absolutely moronic -- self-criticism and the drive to improve is a great trait for a developer to have, much better than endless claims of "it's sooooooooooooo good".

Luckily its just 25 bucks. Whatever.

Too much attention is given to one stupid complaint.

Its like everyone turns blind to all positive things as soon as some ignorant retard posts something "bad".
