Roguey isn't half bad as Codex trolls go, and is in my opinion clearly superior to Skyway. The shticks are meticulously researched and occasionally informative (at least for people who don't cyber-stalk Sawyer) if not always entertaining, the style is much better, and I'd even say there is considerably less spamming of the same lines with zero variation than there was in Skyway's heyday. (Why people who are otherwise quite smart see this as a worthy way of spending their time and energy is another question altogether, and certainly not one I'm interested in solving).

NPC schedules are gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay-as-a-pejorative. I hope it blows up in their faces.

I think Roguey is just butthurt that Larian managed to build a game from scratch and bring it to working prototype stage without any outside help and asked for only an extra $400K to finish it up and $1M to pimp it up to the level they dreamed of. And it's a Turn Based game to boot. With multiplayer co-op.

As opposed to Obsidian begging for $1M with absolutely nothing to show beforehand nor any preparation and a whopping $4M to make it the best they can, and all this for a Real Crap with Pause game. And without multiplayer, unlike the IE games they are attempting to recreate/reimagine.

Roguey is giving one of my anticipated games a bad name. Her/His(?) name should not taint it.

Everybody on the codex is a target for spite. You're not special.
I think it is funnier when they prove you wrong without caring one whiff about your opinion. ;)

Oh, I'm sorry, who was it who motivated Vincke to write a blog about how Larian isn't running out of money? Who was actually namedropped on that blog in a later post? Who had a Larian-criticizing post screencapped in that Matt Chat video?

Not youse.
To give You due credit, You were (kind of) right about the money thing. ForTong admitted in one of the YT previews that have they not gone to Kickstarter, they would have to just quickly finish up D:OS and release it during the summer, because there would be no money to continue development.

I'm really glad they went to Kickstarter, after all. :]

Go Larian!

EDIT:
In before ForkTong does not apear here anymore. At least until the next Kickstarter. :troll:

Roguey gets the honor of being the first person I ignore on this forum. Nothing but troll vomit comes from his/her/its mouth. Not worth the bandwidth. If only you couldn't see it in quotes.

I'll get harsh on it now that the Kickstarter is over. Is there a perfect video of a good combat in this I can get a link to that will get me excited about it?

I haven't been following it closely and on the surface it looks like WoW-ian corn fantasy designs plus Diablo style prefix/suffix grindan loot. I assume a bunch of Diablo 2 style skill tree shit too. Was the pitch "Everything you love about WoW and Diablo except in glorious TB"?

Uh , quotes in other people posts don't show for me.

Oh, and congrats to Larian, I had a great time witnessing that party.

Man, that party was absolutely sick in a totally Larian way :D Beltless people flashing their backsides all over the place, totally trippy sound (somebody fixed that halfway through), dropped cakes and keyboards etc. Kirill (and David) really rocked though (when the sound was finally fixed) Really glad they got to release a bit of steam after this crazy month. Let's hope they deliver the RPG they know they can make.

One day after the end of campaign, and I already feel the emptiness in my inbox from lack of updates. Checking for them was the first thing I did when I turn the computer.
Well, enjoy your hangover Larian.

Of all the bunch, I found Ohm's preview the more interesting and informative. Part 2 also shown part of the game that no other video shown (beside yesterday's 4 hours live countdown).

I have to admit that when I first heard of D:OS I was a bit meh. But after seeing it in action and the obvious fun they were having playing it I just had to throw money at them.

And if that editor is even half as good as it looks it'll be worth it for that alone.

Yeah, Ohm was clearly the one who knew the most about those kind of games.
