You probably asked in a dumb manner, Tharkin. Or, you might simply have started a thread at a bad time.

Anyway, Div shows as 1# again for me right now as well.

I go there every now and again and was looking through the thread on it.Granted some of the people in the thread seemed to be looking for a reaction but there were legit questions and the asker got ripped. They should not eat their young as it were.

DOS just got pushed to 2nd by Wolfenstein: The New Order (on 50% sale) here. Well, at least Wolfenstein is also old-school.

How many :patriot: have received their Collector's Box? I still haven't and was wondering if I should start to inquire as too it's whereabouts. ForkTong if you're around (and not blowing all your profits on hookers and... you know the drill) who should I email?

I'm in Yurope and my boxy arrived this week.

Haven't opened it yet.
Haven't played the game yet.

:negative:

I might as well wait for the August patch, which will include the personalities for dialogues.

Personnalities have been added a few days ago. You're just waiting for the two additionnal companions, when you should play lone wolves anyway... ;)

Wolfenstein -50% is #1 now.

What a cheap trick, Bethesda.
Yeah, only Beth games are competing with them via sales etc. Pretty obvious they're trying to keep the competition out of their market.

Today New Vegas is number 1 here in Canada - curtesy of being the Quakecon sale. Divinity is still #2 - making two of the best RPGs in recent memory in #1/2 on steam.

People call it cheap but isn't that smart 101 Marketing? FFS
Pretty much. Every good marketing person I know thinks like this. Surprised more companies aren't doing it.
*Looks over at Bioware and sees that they're too busy writing gay romance plotlines to notice.*
*Shakes head in disgust.*

This weekend didn't hit 20,000+ concurrent players like last weekend, and it's only downhill from here, another correct prediction from Roguey.

So Roguey, if PoE doesn't hit 20k concurrent players how much of a disappointment should we consider that?

/v/ understands these people will forever be the reason for no oldschool games.

No amount of friendly advice will take the retard out of them.

Actually, you said that last week, right before it reached its all-time peak, my dear. :)

Kevin VanOrd is awesome. I also like that they list how long he played the game:

"Longtime role-player Kevin VanOrd spent 65 hours playing Divinity: Original Sin, and still feels like he's only touched on some of the intricate systems that makes the game so extraordinary. His favorite Divinity talent is Leech; his favorite spell is Vampiric Touch; and his favorite conversation was one with a chicken."

Gamespot in general is becoming pretty awesome site, there has been PC gaming focused article like every day recently.

I'd consider it disappointing because I'm expecting 50,000-70,000 minimum. It dunno if it'd be a disappointment to Obsidian. Remember that, unlike D:OS, they raised all the funds for this on Kickstarter. They've already broken even. Making enough money to fully-fund a sequel (which wouldn't necessarily need to be as much as they raised on Kickstarter considering the engine and many assets are already there) would be a success.

My prediction was slightly-off by a week. It didn't hit a peak yesterday and definitely won't today.
