Crooked Bee
(no longer) a wide-wandering bee
Is Incognita any good in its current state, by the way?
Oh no, Mark of the Ninja is an exception. But it's just that, exception.
Yup. Even with the simplified stealth mechanics its worth it (if you can grok the lame campaign, that is).I think Blacklist is a decent enough stealther too, if you choose to play it like one. That being said, I never completed it. Fucking checkpoint systems suck dick.
I haven't played it but that pixel art 2D game where you play a spy or something is supposed to be awesome as well.
By the way, Death to Spies 3 is still a possibility (their crowdfunding had failed the last time I checked, but I understand they will go forward with development anyway).
Heh, I wasn't aware Chloe Moretz did some voice acting for this game. Guess I'll... guess I'll have to masturbate to it sometime then.
In conclusion, Arkane knows what they are doing.
I liked the small logical touches like immediately transitioning from choking to carrying a body without the need for it to drop to the ground first. What I didn't like was the absence of lower body when you look down, especially annoying when you know developer had done it right in their previous games. Also, it could've used more written material because I was reading through the same books two levels into the game. DLCs are much tighter story-wise and benefit from having a talkative protagonist unlikeGordon FreemanCorvo.

What took you so long? Finally played and finished this.
Dishonored setting and style was designed by the dude who designed HL2's setting, city 17. http://dishonored.wikia.com/wiki/Viktor_AntonovNot sure if because Arkane has an history with Valve, but the way the world is designed and feels just really coherent and real makes me remember the way Half Life 2 was designed.
Hit me up when you're done with your 7th playthrough. r00fles.Excerpt from the rules of the Codex drinking game:

However, unlike Deus Ex, where you just lost some achievement if you decided to go full violence mode (yeah, and XPs, but if you have a problem with XP loss, how about, I dunno, just memory edit a few extra PP and save yourself the tears?), Dishonored's fucking ending is either terribad, or terrigood just based on whether you stealthed everything through or, like, played the game in a FUN way. No, player, if you want the "good" ending, you can't have fun, here, jump some hoops! However, despite that, it's worth mentioning that FUN gameplay is there anyway, which's a lot to say to begin with.snip
Ditto. You dont need 7 playthroughs™ to formulate such opinion. The first mission (which in a lot of ways is designed very well) is an extensive sample of the whole game. Dishonored bears the same flaws as DXHR, if you go stealth the game becomes too easy, boring and repetetive, due to many reasons, some of which I stated in my earlier post.
