Does this game have time limits I have to worry about, like Kingmaker? After one in-game day, my journal is full of tasks, there's like 20 of them. Now it's Tuesday, and I still didn't manage to get the body down from the tree. Is it ok to explore and do side quests, or will it cause a game over?

As far as I know the only time limits are actually for the sidequests, actually.

Talking to Gaston and René, and I think getting an ideology thought before end of day 3 to get a vision quest. Not sure if you can get them afterwards, I'm pretty sure not?

On another topic, the new content the update brought is pretty cool. I'd reckon it'd make the experience for someone having their first playthrough even better.

Yes,you should meet the communist leader on the first day,the liberal woman you could talk during the night and do all the shit without losing time. But after that it is pretty easy to do shit you want to. Change comes with days, but most thing are doable. Also talk with the old farts that play with balls in the park in the first say two days. The game is not rush really. Also you could talk with decent amount of people after it becomes time for bed and that will not advance the clock,so you could talk with people that disappear during the day and after it becomes night you could talk with the perma characters.

A small tip for minmaxing it if you care.

Get this perk as first thing in the game and avoid green orbs till you get,it will make you life a lot better.
The Fifteenth Indotribe

+10 cents for each green orb clicked
Learning Cap for Savoir Faire raised to 6

5h 55m Talk to Joyce (The Rich lady) about her company Wild Pines, specifically the option about "8 percent of *all* cargo in the world."

Also this one is very good and you could also get it as fast as the other one.

amais Vu (Derealization)

+1 XP for every orb clicked
All INT (Blue) learning caps raised by 1

3h 25m Talk to Lena (Wheelchair lady) about understanding your reality she will refer you to Joyce (Rich Lady) who you can converse with about reality to unlock this.

I took fanta's advice and got Jamais Vu. There are many green orbs in the harbor so easy xp. Thanks.

I refused both communism and fascism, hoping there will be a choice for something in the middle. Based on some conversations, that would be MoralIntern, which I'll go with. My attributes are INT 6, PSY 4, FYS 1, MOT 1 so it's mostly about logic and empathy. The game has been very good so far. I'm not one for story-heavy games, but this one is written so well that it pulled me in from the start.

Joyce is one of the best characters so far, other than Kim, of course. Very much like Margaret Thatcher, with one big difference, she is more self-aware and empathetic. Which somehow makes her even more vile lol.

Man, if you like Joyce and Maggie, you probably should go with ultraliberalism instead.

I expected to play this for 2 hours and ask for a refund but here I am, 30 hours later, having finished the game and feeling sad that it ended. It kept me glued to the screen for a few days now. This has honestly been one of the best experiences I've had across all media. Everything is great, nothing feels out of place. There are so many unforgettable moments: the phasmid encounter (what a mindfuck), first encounter with the crabman in the church, talking to Kim on the balcony of Whirling, going to the islet on the boat, and many others. It has really elevated writing in video games to a new level. Don't know if it's an RPG, a game even, but I definitely feel richer for having experienced it.

Maybe it IS an RPG after all, because I feel like starting another playthrough with a different build. Isn't that what RPGs are all about?

Also, couldn't help but think of Andrei Tarkovsky while hearing this. It sounds like something that would belong in Andrei Rublev, and evokes similar feelings.

I felt pretty much the same as you. The whole experience is very satisfying, unique and fresh. Unfortunately i couldn't replay the game right away since its so dialogue heavy and a lot of it will be the same regardless of your build.

It's certainly one of the most unique, creative, and thought-provoking games in recent memory for me -- an incredible RPG. :D

In particular, I found how well-connected everything you see and say is in Martinaise. I played with a high Psyche, Physique, and a focus on Inland Empire. I said a lot of crazy things, embraced paranormal explanations, and made insane leaps in logic. And yet, just about all of it is meaningful, and not just a throwaway line.

The comments under that post claim that Kurvitz is still in ZA/UM, his official title has changed to "Lead Designer, Writer" and that the changes within the board were "just some regular business moves".

He better not leave the company before making at least one more game, I want to see what he's capable of now that they've proven themselves and have more resources to use.
