The loading times are absolutely insane now, they should not have released the patch in this state.
On the lighter note, I'm now wondering if you can beat the whole game without realizing you're missing a gun. This means you can't talk to Evrart, can't talk to precint 41, and can't try shooting down the body. At the very least.

You need to take down the body so you shoot or you call Evrart, no idea if there Is a third way.

Also, you're borrowing Kim's gun, not use your own.

Was thinking this update would be a great way to experience the game for the first time, but those comments about shitty voice acting and not being able to roll back don't inspire confidence in my decision:

Unbelievable. How is it possible to fuck this up so hard. Whatever you think of it as a game, Disco is certainly a piece of aesthetic art. The scenery, soundtrack, sparse VO work well together to achieve that. And Za/Um sure did alot of unexpected things.
So why not go for broke and create a true masterpeice by a) getting a good narrator instead of that too basso banal boring fuck b) getting at least 4 different voices for the skill categories and c) put some actual effort into reading the lines
I am at a loss for words. The narrator/skills VO clashes so hard with the rest of the game it's not even funny.

I think you need to fail the check when Garte tells you you need to pay him for the first time then tell him you're not paying for anything once you're on the ground, or at least that's what I remember. In the playthrough I'm doing I did it and only payed 60 reál.
However if you really want to hussle it up just wait until very late into the night without getting enough funds to pay and have Kim offer to pay for your room with the confiscated item on the Kineema. Once you have it, go to Joyce and ask her for money (she always gives you enough to pay for the rent), then go to sleep and the next day sell those wheel mods for a sweet 200 reál - Kim doesn't even bother just splitting it so you have just enough to pay rent this way, you get to keep all of it.

I don't think this option appears, unless you succeed on some passive check.

Thank God, that thing was just a single bug that didn't repeat. Although for some reason, steam overlay isn't working, so no screenshots for me, and no achievements either. Off into the second day.

An old bug, try to launch the game by admin if you haven't but probably you'd have to restart the playthrough as well.

You must talk with René, then during tribunal he will propose to make mercenaries and hardies to kill each other. At the end there will be a duel between Evrart and Joyce but René will kill both and the monarchy will come back.
