After the End: Dogshit. Avoid. Devs fell to massive feature creep where it's almost like every province has a different religion, which just means they all suck because there's not enough focus on fleshing them out. Aside from that, it's more or less vanilla CK3.
It was pretty disappointing. I've played an americanist republic, and I couldn't get rid of the feeling that I'm just playing vanilla.

AGOT: Needs more time in the oven. Right now, it doesn't even have feature parity with CK2's version, and by a long shot. Aside from that, it seems alright.
AGOT is kino, and will become better than CK2 as soon as they expand the map to Slaver's Bay and add the War of Five Kings. The way they've implemented dragons alone is a huge upgrade from CK2.

I've also tried Guardians of Azeroth. It's made by a tiny team that can't get anything done, but they promise to add magic this spring, so maybe the mod will become worthwhile then.

It is literally exponential (well, more accurately quadratic) since the combat ability of your units goes up by the formula damage * toughness, and since prowess is the basis for both you're working with combat ability going up by prowess^2. And given his strongest knight has an effective prowess of about 2000...

That's because every mod dev and their 2nd cousin implemented their "OC do not steal" version of the same religion, it's a wide puddle with no depth or authenticity (unlike the CK2 version).

Elder Kings is another good overhaul mod but the dev team is small and they take ages to update the mod for compatibility. There was also Godherja too but I've never tried it personally, so can't comment on that.

I've heard the dev is an insane troon even by troon standards.

Isn't that what an average modder is nowadays? Rainbow flags in discord server avatars are almost obligatory.

I am just glad they are adding Nomads properly (Almost like they make up for about 1/3 of medieval ages history and were treated as phantoms so far for years) with hopefully some flavour and different mechanics as they did for the Byzantine Empire instead of endless waves of "flavourful" story packs or whatever they call them only bloat the game and add nothing of substance.

So far in major expansions like Roads to Power and Royal Court they pick insanely hyped and expected content that’s so rooted in medieval life and player imagination that’s almost impossible to fuck up and they fuck up and make something forgettable, but hey at least it’s better than the cash grab going in HOI4.
