In other news, think I've settled on a name for a Graeco-Persian hybrid culture: Arizantian.* And for an Armeno-Persian mix, guess one could go for Pahlavian** in reference to the Arsacid period.

* The name Arizantoi, listed by Greek historian Herodotus as one of the six tribes composing the Iranian Medes, is derived from the Old Iranian *arya-zantu- ('having Aryan lineage').

** From Middle Persian, initially (and literally) meaning "of, or pertaining to, Parthians," and by Islamic times (8th-century onwards) "earlier, older."

They're not, but Armenians have been either under direct Persian rule, under Persian vassalage and/or ruled by Persian dynasties quite often in their early history. So much so that they became a Zoroastrian people and some Armenian Zoroastrian communities even persisted after the christianization of Armenia (which corresponds to the Arewordik faith in CK3).

No. Parthian culture as a distinct thing more or less died with the end of the Arsacid Empire and whatever remained of it got integrated into the Persian culture of the Sassanians (see also the self-identification of Sassanian nobility with its Parthian precursor in the form of the 'seven Parthian clans'). It should be noted though that the Parthian language itself could be considered as being a dialect of Middle Persian and even modern Farsi retains some Parthian influences (as does Armenian in its vocabulary due to the aforementioned cultural influence exerted upon them by Iranian peoples). Best to think of it as a Doric vs Ionic sort of deal, with literary Parthian and literary (Middle) Persian serving as competing standardized koine dialects of the Western Iranian dialectal continuum.

And back to to the topic of Armenia, the Pahlavuni dynasty which has several landed characters in CK3's 1066 start date is an offshoot of the Karen dynasty which was one of the seven Parthian clans.

Watched the shill stream for a while and I must ask - has Paradox lost all sense of aesthetics? Like, all the culture buttons and UI look so basic and non-stylized, one could easily mistake most of it for a placeholder. It's basically pictures in rectangles on a big empty canvas. And what's with the steep prestige costs of some things (10,15,20k) but the relatively insignificant cost of closely related mechanics (200-250)?

Content talk aside, I must give praise where it's due - the performance of the game is absolutely spectacular. I wish their other titles were as optimized as this.
