Finished the game last night. It's definitely a good successor to AoD but towards the end it really felt a bit rushed. A lot of repeating dialogue options.

I did 10-12 full playtrhoughs on solo (did not count full party runs) with different builds. Block was not easier than Dodge. In fact, they were both equal, one being stonger in one situations, another being stronger in other situations. I remind that you could not use BOTH block and dodge for character, you had to choose, because game rolled for highest one of two.
To be fair, I was talking mostly about AoD while you apparently about Dungeon Rats. It's a matter of opinion anyway. And I'm aware of the choose the roll mechanic.
In AoD/DR there 3 means of defence: 1. Dodge or 2. Block 3. Armor (DR). In Colony Ship there is only Armor (DR) left. Evade is close to worthless, and Block was cut.
Evasion isn't close to being worthless. See my build above as a reference. I couldn't always rely on the cloak device (one of the gadgets) which is a new way of defence by the way. There's also energy armor standing aloof.
As i've said, in Colony Ship if you follow Doom game formula ("don sturdiest armor") you will be golden. Simple, easy, works, requires no thinking or tactics.
You can say that 100 times more, won't make it true. Good luck beating the monks with your DR stacking alone.

Making such comments is dangerous here, you will be labeled as racists by developer fanboys.

And of cause ending felt rushed, i explained why. Developer always delayed getting content in the beggining and middle. But for the last updates they were curiosly on track with dates.
Turns out because there was little content planned and done. So there was nothing really that could delay them.

I could also say that you just have a hateboner now for ITS.
He does. He used to like this game. Even gave it a positive review on steam and would praise Iron Tower in the Colony Ship steam forum; but then he flip flopped and turned nationalist after the whole war shit.

Vince said that i hate him and his game because he was born in Ukraine.
Despite him (and me) being born in USSR.

You just repeat him, not even thinking what exactly you are repeating.

p.s. If you ask me for real facts, i have no hatred towards Vince or his jewish friends. It does not have anything about Urkaine war.
Yes, i did called him out for being hypocrite after his "Much suffering in Urkaine" but keeping silence on things like this which his jews friends perfrorm:
"GAZA/JERUSALEM, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The lives of 36 babies at Gaza's Al Shifa Hospital were hanging in the balance on Tuesday, according to medical staff there who said there was no clear mechanism to move them despite an Israeli effort to supply incubators for an evacuation.
Three of the original 39 premature babies have already died since Gaza's biggest hospital ran out of fuel at the weekend to power generators that had kept their incubators going".

So calling him out for being hypocrite magically turned into "hates me because i was born in Ukraine".

About game, i say that is shit because i can prove that it is shit. Having played all ITS games and knowing what i am talking about.
you seem upset

Dungeon Rats have superior combat to Colony Ship. That is why i compare. It was done by same developers, but quality of their work declined.

About evasion: you are repeating yourself. When you have stacked Armor/DR is getting some evasion ok? Yes, it is. But it does not make Evasion itself good. It just helps a little bit IF you stacked Armor/DR.

I will make it simpler for you:
Stacking Armor/DR without Evasion = i-win
Stacking Armor/DR with some Evasion = i-win extra
Stacking Evasion without Armor/DR = lose

What exactly is problem for you if Evasion (without stack DR) would on par with efficiency with stack DR (without Evasion)? Makes no sence that you think first option is unbalanced, but second is perfectly fine.
If you want add that "You cant dodge bullets" (despite doding arrows and bolts in AoD) keep Evasion less efficient for ranged attacks, but increase efficiency in Melee. You can dodge melee hits, you know.

done, game is still shit, combat got slightly better in the habitat cause of new enemy type: "the evader"
perfect character:
tag lockpick instead of evasion
spread some computer xp over to electronics, there is enough to reach 10
tunnelrunner is only required if you want to steal the fuel cell and even there i took it cause i was lazy
i dunno if there is enough xp to reach 10 lockpick and 10 computers, there might not be
one could even try to put the crit strike tag into biotek but thats just fluff imo, i couldnt reach 7 for the console with the check but i dont care
Y2ht3qr.png

what kind of faggot are you that you go through the effort to delete your feats and companions in this screenshot? what do you think it would matter?

We need to know how many playthroughs you have completed and how many hundreds of hours you have spent on these games to be sure that you have the right to tell how shit they are.

It's sad that the only gaming site that even mentions Colony Ship is Polish gry-online/Gampressure. But what's worse is what they're focusing on:

That's a great post. No, really, because it exactly proves my point that the success of late-game titles like BG3 is absolutely not related to combat, tactical depth, or anything else. This article shows exactly the expectations of younger generations.Their RPG practice is akin to Reddit, imagining stories, romance, character artwork, and ignoring 80% of the rules.

That's fake news. You're either do not understand game's mechanics enough yet or just being dishonest.

Look again:
A3BF4711E8E081EDB25C52279CD1088A76591D06

No armor tag, minimum str means pretty much minimum armor handling. Tagged evasion, max dex although no evasion feats taken. And yet the game's finished, almost all optional fights done.
What exactly is problem for you if Evasion (without stack DR) would on par with efficiency with stack DR (without Evasion)? Makes no sence that you think first option is unbalanced, but second is perfectly fine.
I wouldn't like if you could stack evasion so high that even cyborgs couldn't reliably hit you. That wouldn't just make sense at all in this setting. In any case see no point in comparing these skills in vacuum, the whole point about them that systems are interlinked and it's the player's job to choose the right priorities. If you're telling the only right priority is to stack DR then you're just wrong.

Anyway, just read your edited earlier post, I'm done arguing with you, too much prejudice.

What the point of Evasion if enemies can reliably hit Evasive character? Right now this happens in CS.
The point of Evasion is that enemies can hit, but not reliably. And the point of what is wrong with CS balance, one of many failures compared to DR.

What is the point of [ARMOR SKILL] if enemies can reliably [DAMAGE] characters?
What is the point of [WEAPON SKILL] if enemies can reliably [BE MISSED]?
What is the point of [TECHNICAL SKILL] if in-world challenges can reliably be [ABOVE THE SKILL]?

this level of analysis is beyond kindergarten-level retarded, please stop.

You are missing the point.

Evasion lets you avoid some attacks by enemies. If Evasion does not let you avoid some attacks from enemies, there is no point in it.
Avoiding some attacks from enemies = not being reliably hit by them.

So if jackofshadows tells that not being reliably hit by enemies by stacking Evasion is a bad thing, he is dumbfuck, or pretends to be one.

p.s.
There is no point in armor, if enemies do same damage no matter what armor you wear.
There is no point in weapon skill, if chance to miss enemies is same with or without it.
There is no point of technical skill, if no in-world challenged can be done with it.
There is no point in Evasion, if enemies reliably hit you with it or without it.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Attempting the robot fight at ECLSS and oh boy, this is going to be rough. However, the fact that you can knock this robot down so reliably because knockdown ability from blunt weapon has a 100% to hit on him is such a game changer at least based on my build.

Also body blocking second turret is huge too.

That isn't the situation here. Evasion has an impact, you just don't like it.

It has such low impact that lets enemies reliably hit with little difference if you invested in Evasion or not.
As jackfromshadows and other fanboys confirmed.
Because avoiding meaningful amount of hits with Evasion stacking would make game bad for them. Did not make game bad in AoD or DR. But fanboys either play dumb or never played AoD and DR.

I am not sure why we focus on Evasion/Dodge changes though. It is not main problem of CS, far from it.

Rushed ending, empty and barren locations, limited choices, few dialogues, etc. are much bigger problem and is real reason by Colony Ship is decline.

I finally managed to push that robot's face in with shotty:
kAzREsj.png

That encounter was kind of fun. I only used one pulse 'nade and I think about 12 energy cells in total. It was kind of tricky figuring out the best positions on map though. Poor Faythe died a bunch until I figured out the right play: equip her with energy vest, throw pulse 'nade at top turret, rush it down with energy weapon (she managed to do a critical strike with her double shots on Rattlesnake which was able to take the turret out of action); get your most durable combatant to directly face the robot then use knockdown ability repeatedly while Faythe plays peekaboo, something like this:

n815zGX.png

Robot was easy to bully with this play. Final turret was a breeze as I switched my characters out to absorb damage whilst doing damage in between. Pretty good stuff.

Edit: I had to reload an earlier save to verify how many cells I used and it was 12 not 24.
See before:

and after:

I forgot to unload Faythe's shotty.
